Thank you God for this blessing of Your Word being shared. I was once poor not knowing His Word and now I am no longer poor by knowing and always learning His Word. Thank you PD

When he says you have held back wages can relate to the corporate greed so wide spread in the world today.

Job was rich. Solomon was rich. David was rich. No it is not a sin. God wants to richly bless us, not just with resources but heavenly riches such as joy peace and love. It is our attitude about riches or money that can become sin, such as greed or pride.

It's not a sin to be blessed by God with money
It's a sin when we worship money.

I find it good for my soul and spirit when i read on the teachings of the master, Yeshua. Doesn't sound good for the rich.

This morning I heard “don’t lay up treasures for yourself, be rich unto God” all I wanted to do was buy a pair of nice shoes. But I already have one pair of shoes. I know people say it’s not a sin to be rich but Jesus did not speak one positive word about money did He?

Jesus words are from Genesis to Revelation, He is one with His Father. There are many things God has spoken about money, both warnings and positive things, when we use it with Godliness.

@ Yes, but the call on a disciple’s life is different than King Solomon? Even though it’s both the word of God. King Solomon and a disciple of Christ are they not different? I guess it depends on if you want to follow Him as a disciple or not. He gave words to obey in the New Testament for those who follow Him.

@Josephine-i4d2q well said. Do not let anyone steer you away from Jesus. You have the right interpretation citing solomon and a disciple of Jesus. May the Holy Spirit continue to teach you 🔥

To clarify, I never said one should live as King Solomon. Jesus warned against what riches can do to our hearts. He also said with God it is possible for the rich to be saved. Obey Jesus, if He told you to not buy the shoes, then do not. I just would not take that as an indication that it is wrong for a disciple to own more than one pair of shoes. The greater act is, would we give away our shoes when someone else is in need?
I am only speaking in this way because we must also be careful of aestheticism and creating new laws based off how God is personally speaking to us. I am not saying you are, just a caution for those reading.
