I don’t think Lionel was Fia’s actual biological father, his armor description reads “When this chivalrous dauntless knight met Fia, who had been driven from her home, he declared himself to be her father.” So it’s more like he’s her adopted father
so think of her like an estus flask, that gets a little more full and a little stronger every time someone hugs her. Her job is to accrue that energy over time, and then dump it all into a (dying?) noble to rejuvenative them. The person she was meant to do this to died suddenly and violently, and she was left without purpose. She's been trying to build up enough energy to heal death itself, and using the Elden Ring she can make Death into a temporary condiiton, with the dead walking the world just as the living do.
Basically she takes life by hugging people and gives a bit to Godwyn, so that she can sleep with him and give birth to him again as a child, she's a witch but she has good intentions for poor Godwyn, realistically she just wants to save him from his suffering, and to give freedom to others who share the same pain
Bro i chose her ending the first time thinking it was good because my understanding at the time was i allowing the dead to finally rest and stopping immortality if you die thats it your soul goes on elsewhere
@@VeryUnrealistic45 I never got that with her. My understanding is that the dead don't rest in piece with her ending. The dead just keep rising and shambling around and with the golden order the people are technically immortal and don't really die per say. There is no win for either side.
@@jadearbuckle4152 Plus the Golden Order kills everything that is non perfect... so they're kinda more like the Saints from Berserk. I believe Age of Stars or Age of Fracture to be the "neutral" endings ... there are no good endings tbh.

Who do you think sent him down the path of pursuing the mystery of the Night of Black Knives and the Cursemark of Death? I wouldn't want to live in a Lands Between consumed by deathblight. Even assuming those who live in death are still sapient, is it better to befriend them or put them out of their rotting misery? She's... at the very least not a clear-cut good guy.

That was from Rogier's own doing. He wanted to know what happened during the night of Godwyn's assassination. His investigation was of his volition. Where did you get the idea that it was Fia's plan? Also, to her, the dead are innocent in all this. Which they are. They had no choice in the matter. Marika's tampering led to a perversion of death. And the golden order decided that those who live in Death were monsters. I understand Fia's compassion to the undead, but her sympathy to the undead and her anger to the golden order clouds her judgment. She's not evil by any means. But she is very misguided.
I always loved Godwyn story seems like he was one of the best children of Marika and could become a god for the people and Fia has also a very good story to add to him i just wished we could know more about him... Gonna do this ending in another playthrough
When the game says sleep with and “receive the warmth and vigor” does that mean something else. It might seem dumb to ask but it never explicitly says anything else
It's tragic.. she basically sacrifices her life to help everyone that fell victim to godwyn's corpse death thing.. she basically tries to repair ranni's mistake.. at the end of her quest she's dead and entrusts you with the result of her journey after you fight fortissax in her dream
After I got this ending after doing all the others except dungeater’s, and I realized it’s one of the top 2, easily. (The best in my opinion) It is easily the most empathetic ending of Elden Ring, which is good considering that most other endings have massive downsides. This one not only sheds light on the sins of the Golden Order and Rani, but also fixes them. Allowing everyone to be equal again. It’s basically an ending about anti-bigotry, and empathy. The only bad thing you get is a bit of fog from the Erdtree.. But seriously? In Souls standards this genuinely the happiest ending. Lol
I would say Ranni's ending is better since without the Elden Ring, the greater powers that kept fucking everything up no longer have power over the lands between. Sure there might be a metric fuckton of problems in the short term, but in the long run everything would be better.

I chose her ending for my first playthrough. I wasn't sure about the whole undead thing, but she was always so kind, so I chose to trust her.
