    I went from an Avatar SVL to a Fi NEO 3.5, two very different subs price wise and just about everything else but man the Fi sound so much better and just digs deeper.

    The avatar is a awsome sub but head to head no comparison. Fi neo is 100 × better. Definitely upgrading

      The team 3,the 4.11,and the SSD are the only subs that Fi produces that actually got close to their specs and we’re good. The rest tested on DATS we’re horrific.

      @@brianrich7828thinking about the Fi 4.7, you think it’s worth upgrading from 2 RF T1 10’s?

    • @brianrich7828

      @@Somchine13 Never heard the T1’s. Only subs I’ve ever owned from Fockford was their P2’s. But I’m sure that a 12” 4.7 will require more power and murder the low end. They take more power,and have more xmax but are very inefficient and have a low motor force. As for Sound Quality the T1’s look better on paper. So if you went 4.7’s you’d get louder on lower frequencies by a long haul,but lose some of the detail for finer music. If you’re listening to hip hop I’d go for the Fi subs. If you like a variety then the T1’s or the Fi 3.5. But personally I’d run the Adire Brahma X subs and have the best of all worlds. In the last 6 years I’ve ran these subs in order from worst to best for overall sound and loudness:
      *Rockford Fosgate P2 15’s (sounded good,not loud)
      *Soundqubed HDS 3.1 15’s (Got loud and sounded okay,did awesome for the price)
      *Avatar STU 12 (Got really loud,very inefficient,lacked range,but sounded good in its limited range)
      *Fi Q Neo (3.5) could run sealed and ported. Ported it did well in the low end but lacked up high,got very loud and was buttery smooth,inefficient)
      *Soundqubed HDX3 18” (Got extremely loud,got low,efficient for the output,great price)
      *Fi Team V2 12” (Really loud,amazing low end output)
      *Incriminator Death Penalty 18” (Got loud,handled lows like a champ,efficient for output,built like a tank,very,very nice driver)
      *Adire Brahma 12’s (Best over all sound quality,super efficient,natural sound,no distortion at xmax,not as loud as the others save for the P2’s but loud enough to feel them and enjoy how good they sounded,can run ported or sealed)
      05 Re XXX 12” (Got loud,sounded great in the low end)
      Adire Kali 18” (Loudest I’ve had same for the HDX,incredibly good SQ capabilities and output when wanted,most versatile sub I’ve owned ever,higher rms requirements,excellent sensitivity and motor force,but very expensive)
      I’ve ran more through the years like JL W7’s,IA I series etc. but those are my most recents that I can recall the sound the best for. Ran in half a dozen vehicles from car to SUV’s. I’d shoot for a Brahma X,Sundown Z series,Incriminator Death Penalty,or the HDX over the 4.7 personally.

      Appreciate it and yea I hear alot of people talk bad about these Fi neo subs but I love mine. Alot of people say they aren't made with the best parts and and aren't worth the money but in my opinion it gets down and sound quality is pretty good. This neo is taking all that 6k is throwing at it. Probably getting like 5 k with ohm rise but still pretty loud for a single 15 and is trying to take my back window off. Had to reglue and sound deaden my back area to reduce some flex but it's still doing damage. Puts my avatar stu to shame and the port isnt all that large so I can't wait until I get my new flat pack enclosure delivered from gpcaraudio. Got it cut a little bigger to move more air.

      @@RomaVilla I've heard a little of the same things. I hear for burps they're superb. But demos and long listening I hear they blow pretty easily? I'm not sure? I do know that the Xv3's almost 75lbs each are impossible to move around! And that's a huge bummer to me. And my air suspension lol. How much does that Fi weigh? I use crane at work to take my box and subs out lol. But it sucks!

    • @RomaVilla
      @RomaVilla  2 года назад

      @@1ohmwrecker yea I heard the same, good for burp numbers but start to lose after they start to heat up but I believe it's 68 or 67 lbs. I would probably get a hernia trying to lug those xv3 subs around and they are just 12s so that's even crazier.

      Nice, you build your own enclosure? What color stain did you go with. I've been prepping for my new enclosure for the Fi sub and I think I'm going with the carbon grey and then hit it with a semi gloss after the stain job but as far as the avatar and Fi neo, I believe the neo is like 66 lbs and the avatar Stu is like 56 or 58 if I'm not mistaken.

      I love both Fi and Avatar subs, they got their own special qualities that I like. How big is your box for the Stu's? The box I got the avatar in now is around 4.25 before displacement and tuned to 29 but probably tunes a little higher after sub goes in but is still pretty musical.

      I have 2 Stu 12s on 2 smart bass 3ks both at .5 ohm. An amp per sub. I'm adding to my plannano bank then going with 2 smart bass 8ks. I'll dial em down a little. Having em dialed down they'll be running easy n clean . Whether they stay dialed down is another story. Lol
      With the 3ks I did 145 on music 31hz. Would like to see 147. This is in a trunk build. 5 cube box tuned to 30hz. I peak at 36hz. I love the lows. Getting ready to downsize from an 8" to a 6" big ass port tune it to 25hz.

    • @ZoeyR86
      @ZoeyR86 2 года назад

      @@RomaVilla the Fi is real world about 2~3db more efficient watt for watt Also the fi can cool better has a flat wound Copper (not CCA) coil with the good resin holding it all
      on clean power the fi will take 4500w all day every day the spiders will fail before the coil. the copper coil can handle much more 30sec burp power 3~5x RMS even with some clip and really only be limited by Xmech. the only down side to the neo is the poll and plate design waste a lot of what the Neodymium brings i did a bunch of FEA on the design and it still brings a 20-22% bump in BL over the slugs pound for pound but by weight a weaker N48HT vs the best charged slug is 3~4x stronger with must slugs maxing out around 0.2~0.3T and the same weight ND48HT can be 0.8~1.1T almost an order of magnitude..
      all that said the problem is how do you build the sub with Neo's it's an extreme PIA as the magnets are full power while building where the slugs are demagnetized right up tell the sub is complete in some cases and shocked into life at the last minute
