Looks dope, all colors involved work great together. I like the BMX vibes with the decals and the 140 fork will be great too ,not over kill or under. Let me know when you want to ride, have to see it in action. Congrats man.
Thanks dude! I’m really pleased with how it came out, I’ll hopefully hit you up soon. Kinda dealing with a little medical issue rn so haven’t been riding lately
That’s so sick man, congrats on them linking up with you for the brand deal. Love the color and the hardtail steeze. I just converted my trail bike into an “all-mountain” bike by putting the Z1 bomber 150mm on the front. Had a fox 34 Rhythm on and hated it. Now with the new fork I actually may ride it, haha. Gonna get an enduro or a dh for park days, too? Hardtail at mountain creek sounds wild lol
Thanks man! I saw your new fork post, looks beefy. I did get a new enduro kind of bike as well, will make a video on it soon. It came with a Bomber Z1 too and it’s so smooth!
@@VentureMTB I’m excited for the z1, I’ve only run fox forks prior and it seems to be an industry favorite. My enduro as a 170mm fox 38 performance elite and it was just too much bike to take to some places. So having a 150mm/130mm “all mountain” bike will be nice to take some miles off the enduro.
Congrats the new hardtail it looks so sick. I got a 2020 Trek Roscoe last summer and it handles really well at all the Long Island trails so far, although Im currious to see how a hardtail would preform upstate at Sprain Ridge or Graham hills.
Thanks man! Really happy with how it came out! I’m hoping it’ll make tamer trails feel more challenging, but not too sketchy on really technical terrain either. We shall see! Did you do any upgrades to the Roscoe or is it pretty much stock?
I upgraded pretty much everything on it. The 2020 Roscoe shares the same frame as Treks Xcaliber xc bike, unlike the new Roscoes which have a totally revamped frame with new agressive Geo. I threw on a 130mm Rockshox reckon, slx drivetrain, 4 piston brakes, bontrager line comp 30 wheelset, dropper post, and maxxis tires. Now the bike kind of feels like a hybrid between a trail bike and a xc bike, with its xc frame but tuff components.@@VentureMTB
@@thanasimamais320i also have the Trek Roscoe 2020 and had swapped almost every part of it. I was using it for commuting during the week with one set of wheels, and for the trails on the weekend with another set of wheels. I thought it was pretty good - as you said, combo between Xc and trail. Until I got the Grim Ripper! Now the Roscoe is my commuter bike (25i rims with Maxxis Torch 29x2.1 tyres, so pretty light and fast rolling on the road). My Grim Ripper is an ultimate dream built: Cane Creek Helm Mk2 out front set to 130mm travel, 5DEV cranks, TRP DH-R Evo breaks and other high end components. This thing is so good. Like a BMX Enduro machine. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid hardtail shredder with proper radical geo and that is not overforked
I'm interested to see how you get on with the frame size, I'm also 5'11 and the long reach of 495mm just seems too stretched out. My current bike is 465mm so I'd say that's about right. I'd like a frame with more modern geo though and I could just swap all my bits on to it.
Yeah that’s why I kept my 50mm stem, hopefully it’s enough to keep it feeling spacious enough. Will definitely discuss my sizing in the review after some good miles. Really curious to feel out the steep seat tube on flatter trails
@@VentureMTB well I hope you enjoy your new bike bud, it looks like it should be good fun and pretty capable. Maybe the shorter reach will make it a bit more agile and flickable. That's the main thing I've noticed with going to a longer bike is that it doesn't feel anywhere near as playful as my old 26" wheeled bike did. I expect it feels better on faster steeper trials though.
I would never expect you to use a hard tail as your only bike. But honestly this is probably a more confidence inspiring and higher performing bike in the gnarly stuff compared to your old bike, but I might be biased towards hardtails. Edit: commented before I finished the video didn't realize you got two bikes. But that's pretty much my setup as well I have a big bike for some park days but I still take my hardtail to the park as well. Definitely can't wait to hear your impressions of this bike. Our colors were almost identical when I still had the red lyric on my Honzo ESD
Haha honestly I was gonna have this as my only ride until the spring/summer, but I got enticed by some deals on Jenson USA and pulled the trigger on another bike too. I’m excited to try this bike out, the geometry is so different from my Meta. And yeah I realized that too, for some reason the red fork just kind of works with these purple frames.
@@VentureMTB only tip I can give you is to ride very front heavy to load up the front tire for grip in the corners. like you need to be very conscious of it at first until it becomes muscle memory. Basically lean on the fork like hell and it will actually make the back feel less harsh.
Hmm I got a sense of that just riding around the street with it. The bars actually feel a bit wide and I’m not really sure why, the reach is only 5mm shorter than my Meta was. Idk if it has such a different feel because of the higher stack height…? Looking forward to getting a feel for it
@@VentureMTB don't know about the bars feeling wider but slack bikes requires a very aggressive riding position to maneuver. Will you understand what I mean when the trails dries up and you go for your first real trail ride. Also to really appreciate the taller stack, just do a bunny hop. It is way easier to get the front up for a big hop esp compared to your sub 600mm stack on your old bike. My bike has a super tall steerer tube, so my stack is probably in the 650+ range. I wouldn't have it any other way. The steep seat more than makes up for the front end feeling taller on steep climbs. The taller stack also makes you feel less otb when being very aggressive over the front of the bike.
Dude that color is beautiful!! Super pumped to see it in action!
That’s awesome! Yeti ARC owner here and I think hardtails are a blast. Congratulations.
Thanks man! What trail system do you enjoy the ARC the most on?
Awesome build
Thanks boss😎

Thanks for the upload. Much appreciated. The bike looks sick. I'm about to pull the trigger on it myself...
Thanks! Glad you liked the vid! Go for it, I've gotten out for the first few rides and its been sweet. Video coming soon!
@@VentureMTB I did, it should arrive on Friday. Looking forward to your review.
Sweet 🎂🎂🧁
Thanks!!
Love that color
I should name it the Grim Grape or something
@@VentureMTB Oh definitely, and should also bring it to sprain tomorrow morning!

Thank you!!
Ohhhh yeah 👍 hardtail nice 👍
I ride hardtail all the time up in sprain and graham etc. you definitely can ride there
Just got to pick your lines
Thanks! And I’m really looking forward to seeing what a legit hardtail feels like at all the trails I’m used to riding!

I've ridden Graham a few times on my hardtail, and I think that the trails rode pretty well with the hardtail.
Oh nice, I’m thinking this will be a fun bike at Blue Mountain reservation. I like to pick my way through the rocks

upstate chunk? can we expect another blue video???

i know you probably dont ride with fans but if youre ever in town id be more than down to show you around some sick areas in blue.@@VentureMTB
nice bike bro! New Sub here!
