A trick I love halland for that not many ships can pull off is "stealth firing" but not like old stealth fire. Halland can do it because of the decent shell performance and low range but basically late game, find yourself a ship with a detection range of 11km+ (generally a bb, don't want something that can catch up) and sit about 500m outside of your gun range sailing away in the same direction as the red. Aim as usual (you won't have lock on so adjust over time) and open up. If that big target is the only thing within 11km your shells take long enough to reach the target that they are now in firing range, but since you are sailing away you never get spotted. Also throw out torps. Great for some late game farming and so much fun to pull off. Especially once the fires start.
RPF For ME its a Must Have. Yes its 4 points (A lot), but I have found it to be just so darn useful. Example: say I spot a ship at (say) 14k, an the RPF is pointing in another direction I KNOW something else is out there.
I would say it is really usefull on non smoke dd. For the reason you said. If you have a cruiser at 8 km but it's not pointing at him up should turn around and get rdy for trouble.
You know, i was kind of stepping away from the wows community because of the general negativity, and constant issues with wargaming. It was really nice to find you, because you acknowledged the issues but you dont let them disway or damn your mood, honestly your probably the only reason i still play this game
Same mate Negative c*nt like Flamu all the time and his generally hatred nature or sometime out right toxicity make me not wanted to play the game cause if player like him is like this, how me as a noob and casual gonna experience? People like PQ, Trenlass and Yuro make me wanted to play
I use rpf...errr Radio Location, not just to pinpoint, but also early game torp drop, the amount of dev. strike, first bloods i get from them for killing a DD trying to cap is worth the 4pts in my book
Yes, I have RPF on my Fletcher, really helps. Don’t have it on my other DD’s yet but definitely will go for it. Love the Halland too, for all the reasons you pointed out. I do well in my Gearing without it and I now have legendary build on my Haragumo! Talk about smoke, but give up concealment. Extra consumables though!
Really like the Halland, though I have more fun in the Kleber. However, on PT last weekend, just played my first (and only) game in the Dalarna, pretty awesome - 221K. A T11 Halland with no party trick. Confed, HC, Withr, Krak, Devstk. Yes, nearly half the team was bots, but dealt handily with Yamagiri and Halland who were real players.
If you like quick reloading torps, grab a behnam. You can dump 8 torps every 30 seconds and even faster with AR. I love the halland i just wish it had smoke bc the guns are great too. Thats why the behnam is nice bc you can get of trouble with the smokes.
i've been really enjoying gunboat halland the reload on the torps is so short that they're pretty damn solid without investment, while investing into the guns just allows you to nuke most dds so hard (and making setting fires on bbs that damaconned your floods easier) in other words, turning it into a smaland with better torps (and no radar) boy am i excited for the legendary mod :)
Another thing i enjoy about Halland is her AA. Most CVs dont even bother bullying a Halland as long as there are other viable victims on the map. And shooting down planes actually gives decent base experience should the CV decide to attack the Halland anyway and loose his squad in return.
I see your Halland torps and raise you Shima 8km torps. They are fast and more importantly do almost double the damage of the Halland torps, plus smokescreen and good stealth. The reload on the Shima torps is longer, but you can cover more area or areas with the 3 spreads and they hit harder so it doesn't require as many to sink ships. Halland is a great ship, but watching how weak the torps were...
Short answer? You can't. You can run away and keep trying to plaster the area with aerial depth charges. As though BBs needed more reasons NOT to advance. Well, that's what subs are, a big "NOPE" sign for a BB. Hilariously enough, however, and further proof of just how bat shit, pants on head retarded subs are in WoWS, they're even MORE deadly to DDs due to insanely effective homing torps coupled with their insane, totally bullshit submerged speeds that makes it absurdly difficult for a DD to 'chase' them.
The Holland becomes much less fun, and performance drops, when there is a CV playing. I notice that most YT videos highlighting DD's only show matches that have no CV's. Obviously there is a good reason for this but still ...
its pretty easy to know dds positionning if you have a mod who show you when your teammates are detected, that + your brain / awareness and RPF become not necessary at all, its cool to have it but not necessary
Well, there is no numbers on circles on your minimap, you don't press H on 1 second to show ship's capabilities (while I can pause it). I believe someone who doesn;t have the ship would like to see it's characteristics, but there is no such things in your videos. I would definetely wanted to see what is concealment of this ship right away to asses your play and learn from you, but I don't see that and it is much less use of this video. Perhaps I should open game client and watch your videos with it open so I can understand why you do this or that? This is serious flaw of your content.
Serious flaw is on your side if you need to copy numbers. You are missing the bigger picture in these videos. Having same build as "high score games" does not help you in battle without understanding positioning, mechanics, reading future play of enemy and decision making in general.
@@ImRandomDude don't like your own comments, kid)) well, what about essentially what you wrote, you are seemingly that 43% crab who don't know and do not want numbers and thereby coming to cap on khaba against shimas. do not talk about mechanics, do not advice anyone. learn to play.
Halland is visible about 0.5km further than Shimakaze. That fight was the only part of this video where concealment numbers were significant. Gearing with legendary module has same 5.6km detection range as Shimakaze.

I love Halland, with this new New Year camo it looks really good as well!
Halland is going to be one of the next ships I get, slowly grinding through the Östergötland.
Halland...just so much fun! Definitely worth the grind.
My best halland war with that captain was 39 torps. Very fast reload at the end of that game.
grinding for Halland now great video

nice to see a dd spotting and not just farming own team

I learned a new word: hitscan.
What ship roster version are you using? I like the dead ships are red and the hp bars are inside the ship icons.
Did you ever get the T-XI Dalarna?
Hello, would you recommend the halland, as "first" Tier X destroyer for beginners?
Great AA too and the MM seems to not want to match you with a CV.
PQ, can you do an RB tier list?
i got 333k dmg with Yugumo once - probably more than any of my Shima games. le sigh
the initial cooldown and then the cooldown after every time you use the torps is so annoyingly high...
Not Torpedo's Anti Ship Water missiles. Yes they are fast. I too love the ship.
Still my happy place in this game…love the Halland
how many do you carry, overall??? and how many does a real warship carry before having to re-arm???
I love me some good torp soups
could you do a video on how to counter subs, combined with double cv games and I just get bullied all match especially when i play BB

How do you get the special commander
Is Harland a gun boat?
my lone solo warrior in the halland.
I love the Halland even though I suck with all ships
The Sub (Balao) on each side scored the highest EXP. Interesting.
p.s. the USN tier 10 really ought to be the Tench class.
Tier 8 should of been the Gato class. Damn shame.
Submarines get bonuses to base xp, it's all but confirmed by WG.

Halland is good/fun if you have a premium account.
It should play the same with or without premium time. That affects only rewards after battle.
