Why didn’t her first two albums take off like Control did?

They weren't that great. There were some stand outs but they just didn't connect with a audience the way Control did. Plus, none of the songs were written by her.

The songs were ok but the sound was same as Micheal and the Jackson's. Her father was in control of her career at this point. I think she wanted to be an actor and he pushed her into this. Hence the title album Control

On this album she had four good songs on it. And the rest was a low ok for me. I do wish that she would sing this song in her line up while she's on tour. That would be great. Because this song is different strokes janet Jackson. It will be a real treat to her real ride and die hardcore fans. Who was there before the control album.
