Hello sir, Is VLAN-1 reserved? in case, end user has configure VLAN-1 for traffic so, can we configure VLAN1 on WLC too? Thanks

Vlan 1 is by default vlan you can use vlan 1 also in use but use as a native vlan and rest traffic please configure others vlan

Why you are making the switc port connecting to ap as trunk, it has to be access port with mgmt vlan. the user traffic from all ssid will be tunneld to wlc

@@haroonm9686 it's totally depends on your config if you want to config 3 ssid and 1 ssid run via local and rest 2 ssid run via another location you should configure trunk

What is the difference between RMI+RP,RP?

gateway reachability check ,health check of controller ,dual active detection check are done via interface called RMI which isn't supported in RP HA pairing controller .From 17.x version of controller RMI +RP ha pairing is recommended by cisco.(RP is Redundant Port & RMI is Redundant management interface )

We have one physical controller 9800L at Mumbai location and one virtual controller installed on VMware ESXI at Chennai location Please confirm can we achieve HA in between both the controller ?

Sure, but you can only enable HA N+1, not SSO, The best thing is that both WLC have the same IOS, in case one fails, it does not have to be updated to join the other WLC
