XerDav reread it. Thats exactly what it says bro. We cant be perfect. Thats why we needed a perfect sacrifice, none other than Christ himself. Read Paul's epistles if you aren't sure, but never forget that once you accept Jesus, you should start hating your sin. Being saint like will not get anyone to heaven, only Jesus can get us there. BUT Jesus also calls us to repent. So we will all sin, but its about not being a slave to sin. The importance of dying to your old self cannot be overstated. If you have the Holy Spirit in you, and you don't outright ignore it, you will feel start noticing things. Things that you used to be okay with will start making you feel ashamed. Thats when you ask God to help you remove that sin from you. And he will, if you let him. Judging by your comment, have you ever considered what would happen if God changed the "rules". If we purposely sinned all the time. Imagine if we didn't let God deal with our hearts. We would be going to heaven carrying all that sin with us (if we didn't have Jesus to wash it all away). We would cause heaven to fall corrupt just like Adam and Eve did. The bible cannot be written in the sense you are talking about because every word of it is true. And if you just wish God would change the rules.. consider the reason he has them set up the way he does. He knows better than us. If i really sit and think about it, I can start to see why God made things the way he did. Its amazing really. But remember, he gave us a way out, knowing we couldn't do it on our own. Accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord. The rest is all uphill from there bro. The Holy Spirit will work in you to a point you wouldn't even believe. But you must be willing to let go of your old ways. XerDav reread it. Thats exactly what it says bro. We cant be perfect. Thats why we needed a perfect sacrifice, none other than Christ himself. Read Paul's epistles if you aren't sure, but never forget that once you accept Jesus, you should start hating your sin. Being saint like will not get anyone to heaven, only Jesus can get us there. BUT Jesus also calls us to repent. So we will all sin, but its about not being a slave to sin. The importance of dying to your old self cannot be overstated. If you have the Holy Spirit in you, and you don't outright ignore it, you will feel start noticing things. Things that you used to be okay with will start making you feel ashamed. Thats when you ask God to help you remove that sin from you. And he will, if you let him. Judging by your comment, have you ever considered what would happen if God changed the "rules". If we purposely sinned all the time. Imagine if we didn't let God deal with our hearts. We would be going to heaven carrying all that sin with us (if we didn't have Jesus to wash it all away). We would cause heaven to fall corrupt just like Adam and Eve did.
The bible cannot be written in the sense you are talking about because every word of it is true.
And if you just wish God would change the rules.. consider the reason he has them set up the way he does. He knows better than us. If i really sit and think about it, I can start to see why God made things the way he did. Its amazing really. But remember, he gave us a way out, knowing we couldn't do it on our own. Accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord. The rest is all uphill from there bro. The Holy Spirit will work in you to a point you wouldn't even believe. But you must be willing to let go of your old ways.
