I know people speak of the difficulty of the raid, but I imagine it also matters on who you do the content with. When I did this my first time, a majority of the group had DSR clears and BIS sets for their jobs.The gear helps, but I would imagine the player quality would matter too since the mechanics would be easy to figure out as a majority of the mechanics used in this new raid have been seen before. I still enjoyed this raid though. I would say relaxing, but I don't know how relaxed one can be when an Irish woman swings a massive scythe at you and triggers a bar brawl. Heh. Definitely enjoyed the feeling the music gave too.

And it's true, it's way way to easy, and the bosses gear is 100x better than anything we get, so i'm not surprised at all, from start to finish the only thing i thought about why the bosses can have nice things, and we don't, that Tank gear is just Epic... They keep this game running and alive, and do so even when there is no contet, because most raiders just do the tier, and then go and cancel their sub and come back for the next, so yeah, casuals are worthless how you say they are.

Being that those are outside of FF14 properties, they probably had more content to work with as it's an investment to get players outside of 14 to play and it worked. I just wish they had more good glam options from 12.
The nier raids were awful they're boring and so unenjoyable due to the difficulty I refuse to go back into them I would sooner go into ivelisse and I hated those too
EW first alliance were on the right difficulty tho, but the second is kinda ez to figure out on first try ivalice were fun especially the third alliance but second alliance were underwhelming imo except the math mechanic (Yiazmat is just a tanky boss but ez fight) Nier was a blast really love it
Tip in case no one has noticed , on the 2nd fight if the bosses are teathered they actually start to heal , as seen from 11:29 - 11:31 , the boss get's healed for quite a lot .
Considering that it's supposed to be casual raid content for people who normally don't raid Savage, I think it's fine that it only drops 620, and it doesn't need to be super hard either the way it currently is, it's fine. That being said, I wouldn't mind if they made Alliance Savage as an addition to Alliance raids, that'd be really fun too, and I think that'd warrant 630 gear.
You can actually get 630 gear with the rewards from this. The raid drops a weekly coin that you can exchange (with one coin from the first raid) for material to upgrade the Lunar Envoy gear (the one you get using Causality Tomestones) to Augmented Lunar Envoy.
The defensive changes to Pally are on point but the offensive changes, while a good compromise in a lot of ways, I still just feel sad with the result.
I’ve been playing pld all day and I don’t like it too, in my opinion it would have been much better if after royal authority you had 3 stacks to spend in atonement or holy spirit (with instant cast obv) maybe 1A+2HS or 3HS or 2A+1HS I mean depending on the situation and after that, the confiteor combo and back to 123
I pugged it on day one, about 4 hours after the patch went live. We wiped on almost every boss at least once. Most of the people weren't rolling in 630 gear so it took longer to kill. Hell, one of our healers was near the bare minimum for entry. From my perspective, this is the hardest alliance raid since rabanastre, and that one was notorious for groups not being able to get past the 2nd boss for days after it released. Since it is intended to be casual raiding that rewards catchup gear, and an upgrade item to upgrade 620 to 630 once a week, I think its difficulty is about right, but I am sure many people are going to say it is too hard, while the more mature savage crowd is going to say it is too easy (when, for them it actually is).

I was also more impressed with the first raid, although Halone in this one and the final song are really good. I don't mind it being a bit less cool than the first, though. If you're going to do a three-part raid series, it's a good idea to put the best stuff at the beginning and the end.
The EW raids look sick but they're way too easy, like once you beat the bosses once you should never get hit by anything again. I'm not even a hardcore raider and legit, my second run, the only thing I got hit by was that freeze ring from Halone because I ran through like a second early. Yoshida! Have more faith in us! Make the next one hard! Lol
I stopped playing 3 weeks ago. I am mad I didn't experience this patch. But I happy it keeps getting better. Hope some day I can hop back in and do all the stuff I ll miss.
i mean you skipped 1 mechanic from the twin boss so pretty much man mode team is a cracked raider, my DF experince we wiped alot on halone and the twin boss
I thought this was easier than last tier and i dont raid - only got 613 i level so its not about BIS - However I prefer this raid jsut in general for fun
Yah my group went as 8 and df the other 2 alliances like within the hour of patch drop and we didn't wipe to a single boss kinda sad the days of people wiping to 24 man bosses for at least the first lockout are over
I’m honestly OK with the difficulty of this raid. It could’ve been the same difficulty as the previous raid honestly. I think that’s as difficult as those need to be because people are absolutely dog shit at this game. So I’d rather not have to suffer in the duty finder with people who can’t do mechanics. Saves me time lol
Is there something that determines what cards Nymeia draws? Like who is attacked first or something? I've done the raid twice now and i've gotten Pyretic and the blizzard one each time instead of the seducing card. Seen a couple streamers only get the seducing one

Instead of going on a whining spree , They learn to adapt and overcome .. casual or not this is still a lvl 90 raid people at this level want to feel like they are in the 90s .. and this raid was disappointingly easy ..

The raid has got to be the BEST Alliance raid EVER as a 2.0 Veteran. Freaken Tank Busyers EVERYWHERE, WAIFUS EVERYWHERE AND ONE INSANE HALONE FIGHT. 12 OUT OF 10!!!
The only Alliance raid the EW is better than is the ARR ones. All the other ones are harder and more enjoyable than what EW has released. Nier and Stormblood ones are still my favorites.

Portraits take too much of the screen, too small, and take control from the gamepad layout.

I think they might just share hp with each other regardless of tether so you can focus on one boss
They share hp thats what you saw. The tether only increases their dmg. When one has higher hp they give it to other one so it equlizes.

I will admit, it feels a bit clunky having to hs and the atonements every 123 combo lol but other than that I like the feel
