There are print dates on these tapes. Companies like Paramount and Universal use print dates called week and year codes and they’re shown on the lid. Look for a set of 3 numbers and you’ll find it, for example 036 that means it’s printed in the 36th week of 2000
Although there’s no print date on the bottom, but if you look on the top lid, there’s actually a barcode sticker and some carved writing codes that say DLX, underneath it, there would be a three digit number. For example, if your VHS tape lid has a number, on top let’s say 807. To correspond with it they would say seventh week of 1998. Those kind of codes are called week of year codes. They would be listed as DLX 807. Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox (until 2000), and Columbia Tri-Star all have week of codes.

I Used to Have Most Blues Clues VHS Tapes Like Every Kid Does, Along With Some Little Bear VHS Tapes as a Kid, But as I Got Older, I Got Rid of These VHS Tapes, and Also These Shows are Avaliable on Paramount Plus, If You Have a Subscription.
I’ve met the three boys in person AND have in my possession Steve’s second original green striped rugby which was seen in early season 2 and various times throughout season 3, specifically “Anatomy”!
I haven’t watched blues clues for years but there’s an episode called “Steve goes to college” where he left and Joe moved in and Steve went to college I cried for him
