- AMBUSH ON THE SEA! We figured a fun small battle would be interesting for wrapping up the stress test server. Little did we know the sheer numbers of ships and men that awaited us. We pushed atlas to its very limits.

May have been laggy but the awesomeness balanced out the low fps.
Atlas deserves so much attention.!Literally one of the best games if they just got rid of some bugs and glitches but sadly no one cared so they got no money and it takes long to afford type of technology like that.
Now if anything could make me want to play a game and put alot of hours into it, than that video damn well did 👍 great video captain
Hi maybe because you are a little burned out on SE you could do atlas on Sundays.
I agree. The only complaint I have with Atlas right now really is that you don't stream it on Sundays to replace the SE streams.

Man, I'd never even heard of this game until now. Sea of Thieves, Skull and Bones, Atlas, the PotC level in KH3... Black Flag really made an impression on the gaming community, huh?

When I clicked on this video I legit thought it was just going to be a few ships like 5 or 6 versus 5 or 6 more ships but holy shit was I wrong and glad I watched this. It was awesome and epic as hell and I only wish the game wasn't so laggy so it could've been even better of an experience watching. I look forward to more like this in the future
it's strange when I first heard of this game it was all hate...odd how you managed to change that
the hate is mostly because it a asset flip and was pretty broken doesn't mean it was a bad game it just the dev's said it was one thing when it was other.

Well, I hate the ARK survival stuff... start by punching trees, etc. but the ship and building aspects are attractive. The map does not look attractive to me though.
no from what ive seen it was meant to be a completely new game. they just hide the fact its based off a still broken and unfinished game.

It was EPIC and Wellingforte was proud to have been a part of it. By some miracle of the Gods all three of our ships survived and managed to make our way home for some much needed repairs. The Aurora and Lady Titania II did is proud and the Viscount proved herself in her first real firefight.

Would be nice to have a supply ship for each side so boats can leave the fight to repair and restock their cannons. If this game played as smoothly as sea of thieves this would be an amazing game where 100 player factions can do weekly scheduled ship fights.
Yeah, maybe even use a galleon for larger fleets and for prebattle meetings like at the beginning of the video.

Not familiar with Atlas customs but when I see a ship with like six masts and two dozen cannons, I tend to assign that a higher status than a simple galleon, sounds more like a Ship of the Line or Man o War
Makes me really wish Sea of Thieves had servers dedicated to all out fleet battles, theres the arena mode but its not like a big team battle like this, be really cool.
im a little sad i missed it but sleep is for the weak and i was very weak at the time

Its actually sleep or soon become weak. Your body repairs and fights carcinagins when u sleep

i have a 1060 3gb and i run it on epic at large scales battle 50 fps no problem.... you just need a good processor i have an i5 6600k oc

i5 8500 30ghz, 16gb of ram, gtx 1070 8gb, run at ultra setting 1080p, 60+fps.

I watched it live , amazing battle and spectacular defeat that you guys just need to own. your battle plan was everything wrong the french did at Trafalgar and you seemed shocked that it didn't work out. entertaining none the less 10 stars. someone needs to do a behind the battle break down of how it unfolded and why you lost
Amazing video, shows the real potential this game has as each ship took massive effort by the teams of players who crew and maintain them. Atlas is rough to be sure but I really hope they can pull things together for this game.

I see all these game dev studios who hype 4 player combat and i laugh so hard inside when i see games like this and star citizen and arma 3 and squad and post scriptum combat.

Well the sharks seemed to enjoy the battle or the effects of it.
it WOW as pirates....... Its wow as prates.... you are consistent and sink or blow up the ship you are on. That's entertainment.
Looks laggy. But also looks so much fun compared to Sea of Thieves

The game could be impressive but did the devs just not test the game or were okay with the FPS?
It is still early days for the game and I am sure that the developers are working on optimization (I could be wrong) but every game has it's limit, For example if you try to build a to scale star destroyer in SE chances are the experience will not be good and that both your PC and the game will struggle same thing with Atlas what the Armco community was doing last night was pushing the game to it's limits with 25+ ships and a huge fort all within a small area.
Sorry if that did not make much sense I am running on a very small amout of sleep :p
look up a video on the development of the game. lot of shady stuff happened. Plus the game reuses assets from Ark
@@Among0Shadows I have, But the way I look at it is, Yes some shady stuff has happend with the games development(Keep in mind this is not the first time assets have been reused in a AAA game) but it is still a decent game that the Armco community has had a good bit of fun in, So maybe cut it a little slack eh?
the real question is, is a game like this possible with current tech and latency limitations

So I’m curious. With the ship customisation, do you get a basic ship template that you build onto or can you choose the shape of the base? Could you for example have a Chinese styled ship? (I just think they look cool).
The hull is defined by the class everything else is custom
They have confirmed additional ship types will be added in the future.
The songs that the crew sings in the background is from Assassins creed
This fleet battle is what should of happened in At World's End.

dont want ot be rude here but i have been in a much larger battle. not to say this is small by any means just think instead of saying largest you should say large. the one i was in invovled 7 gallons 20+ brigs and a uncountable amount of schooners and sloops. It was between my group (syndacit (now cursed fleet) and High Seas Booty Bandits)

Damn... You should do a story base Survival on this game. At the very least, just do some raiding and such, show the wars and battles. As if you are bounty hunters, looking for the enemy ships.

haven't watched much off this game or played it but i can already tell the water and food needs in this game are just a pain in the ass. just consistently bugging you more then that should be.
