I would actually reorder that as 2, 4, 1, 3.....Your biz plan is going to determine whether this will be a viable business, then you can do the legal stuff. I say that because the 107 cert is only good for 2 years, if you do that first then try to put all the other stuff together, which takes time, you are wasting that two year time. So get all the info and prep done first (studying in the meantime) then when your ducks are in a row go take the test.
Thanks, Taylor, these are very helpful videos that you are posting. I believe that you have an insight that most all other videos are missing. Because we are chief drone officers we are professionals; business professionals. Concentrating on the business and as opposed to the tools we use is nearly a unique view as far as RUclips instruction goes. We really appreciate your insight. Good Journey, Richie
Great video! What type of services do you recommend to start? Lidar, infrared or camera to start?
great video
Any new vids???
Awesome vid. Appreciate your advice tips
M.A.S glad you liked it. What should I do a video about next?
Dronero well you pretty much covered everything on your FB page which is awesome btw. I'm your #1 fan 😎 keep up the good work.
Very Helpful Video Taylor. Thank you for posting, I just shared this video with my friends who wants to start their business.
I wish you and yours a very Happy Easter Taylor! :-)
Thanks Jim! Hope you had a great Easter too! What would you like to see a video about next?
Thank you Taylor, we did! :D I wish I was able to request a topic to do. I'm very new to all of this. I will be getting my first drone within the next 2 months (probably Mav Pro (2?). I know I want to use it as income, but I'm not sure yet in what fashion. There are a lot of cattle ranches in my area. I'm trying to come up with an idea for a service I could provide them that will save them time and labor costs. One idea is searching for "lost" cattle. If they come up short on a count, that could mean Major Dollars down the drain. I'm thinking I could do it faster and cheaper than sending men out to find them. ? maybe ? Thank you for all you're doing. I really enjoy your videos and learn a lot from them. Thank you again! Mucho! :)
That sounds really cool actually! If there's a big need for something like that in your area, then I say GO FOR IT. And you'll be the first drone cattle wrangler that I've heard of...which would definitely set you apart from other drone pilots.
When you get that started, let me know and we'll do a video about it together. :)
Great video. Would you suggest that a newbie attend a training course to learn to fly drones and if so, which one? I'm in Louisiana and there are no training courses anywhere.
It depends on your skill level what exactly you're hoping to learn from the course. If you can learn by flying and watching youtube (which is what I did) then go that route and save money for equipment or future skills and business based trainings. I don't know of any drone schools or training courses in Louisiana unfortunately.
I got everything but a business plan but I'm working on it. Part of the business plan though is do I need a business license and a state license.
Nice! Congrats. Good luck!
If I'm freelancing do I need a business license and a state license 🤔
How much to do FAA test?
$140-$170 depending on the location.
Do i need a license before starting the drone business in africa
Depends on which country you're in.
Do you need a 107 certificate for a mavic mini?
If you're using it for commercial purposes, then yes you will need a 107 to fly a mavic. As a hobbyist, no you do not.
