I bought 1300 VHS from an estate sale for $20 and kept ~200 of them (donated the rest). Took me a solid 12 hours to check each VHS for value, most of what I kept was horror. Sealed Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Goosebumps, fell in love with VHS that day! My wife? Not so much. lol

You know as far as sealed VHS… I watched an interview with Pete Davidson ( SNL) had amassed an incredible collection of sealed VHS ( with now buyer’s remorse) 😅and he said he bid and paid waaaaay too much for some on ebay, I’m sure that because he has the funds to do so, he is part of the reason for the enormous prices going on for “ sealed vhs” tapes… just FYI… not saying he is solely responsible, as overseas bidders also add to large bids and buying at any cost, but it seems now that many of the once “gravy” for sure winners has hit their max now and are tapering off.. just my opinion… thought I’d share😊
There are 1000's of sealed vhs collectors. The vast majority are not worth much. The market is currently down compared to a few years ago. Most folks could look at two similar vhs (same title) and not understand the difference.
Because the grading of itens is a scam! Started with coins in the 70's and 80's and has effected every hobby it has touched like a cancer look what grading did to video games and the scandal between wata (the video game company and heritage auctions) how they worked together to artificially inflated those graded video game prices guess who was part of hyping up grading VHS yiu guessed it heritage auctions both companies should be shut down go watch youtube videos on the wata heritage scam see how collector's were conned into paying 6 figures for sealed graded games in 2021 and in 2023 only 2 years later lost 6 figures some games that were sold for $400k in 2023 turned around and sold for $80k
The movie 'Stand By Me' was originally titled 'The Body' but the director heard Keifer Sutherland teaching River Phoenix to play Stand By Me on the guitar and thought that would be a neat name for his movie.
Maybe this could be a great video concept, actually be transparent and explain the literal opportunity costs involved in your business. Explain to us the gas and car maintenance, insurance, taxes that you pay, and the research and physical effort that you put into your business. That would be great for a video, since I see your defensive response to other people who are just confused on the whole process of your company. Thanks so much! Good luck with your reselling business! ❤❤❤❤

The problem you cant seem to see is that that list price / not sold. After you list - then you wait till, potentially, eternity for the right buyer and pay daily for STORAGE of the item. The man has one currently listed too that hasn’t sold - just watchers… Take the hint @Sillysoft
Yea a $20 offer for a $100 bill but he has the same excact jacket listed that has been listed for a very long time with no offers n hasn’t sold so the space it’s going to take up n the time he ha to hold onto it $20 is a great offer $10/$15 would be better $100 isn’t good if your never gonna get it then your just $20 in the hole while you wait months or even years for it to sell
So it’s cool for big box retailers and grocery stores to artificially hyper inflate prices and get the same margins but it’s not okay for some guy with a camera on RUclips? Come on.
It's wrong to think that I deserve to make a higher profit of an item than the owner of that item. I always pay the asking price, because it's rude otherwise, (if I was just planning to resell it.) That's what gives reselling a bad name. IMO I'm just going off the title. I haven't watched the video yet.
Really, really, surely bargaining is the oldest trade in history. So when you get your car insurance renewal you just accept it, you dont look around for the best price or is that rude as well.
@@paulc180 if you were selling an item on eBay for $30 and somebody offered you $15 and you reluctantly accepted it and then you found out he sold it for $50, it would rub you the wrong way. not necessarily because he sold it for $50 but because he under cut your asking price to begin with.
It’s also wrong in my opinion if you’re not willing to tell the person that you’re reselling it for more money--after asking for a lower price yourself. Which is what we all avoid talking about in these situations.
Well your opinion would put you in bankruptcy or not profitable for sure. The name of the game is to get it at the lowest price possible. I always try for a lower price. IT IS BUSINESS

No real human being should shame others unless they have a real “teachable moment” that could help someone.
