Military drone so cheap throughout the sensible world but extremely costly as, far as nigeria is concerned. If it cists 2 million dollars, ut will cost 250 million dollars in nigeria. Imbecile leaders?

Nigerian police force need technology to help them. These days, technology could do the work of many people. There are military Drones that could do Aerial Surveillance, equipped with high- resolution infrared cameras, heat sensors, GPS. Sensors that detects movement and even automated License plate readers. Drones are far cheaper to use for aerial surveillance than traditional crewed aircrafts and helicopters. Nigerian security forces also need Military Motorbikes, and Communication equipment and intelligence gathering from the communities. Nigeria, needs to recruit and train well paid special Police Rapids Forces stationed in all local government in the Country. Sophisticated drones are used here in the USA by civilians for hobby. Please, do not tell me that the Nigerian government could not afford these gadgets for surveillance. The money spent on buying luxury vehicles for Nigerian politicians could buy as many drones and police motor bikes and security equipment that Nigeria needs. The Police spoke person sound like he is speaking of Nigeria in the 1950s . No cost is too much or important than the security of the citizens of a Country. This is not rocket science.

If the give them the money to buy the technology, their superiors will chop it. They get paid whether they do their job or not . N9 accountability in naija

See how our police look like, very hungry. Even ShopRite security look fed than government police men. When the security agents are really hungry they will protest with the masses. Nigeria leaders are wicked. When the cat is hungry, it will start eating the owner's fish.😢

I am afraid, there is also something insecure and unprofessional about this briefing itself. Why would you be discussing your strategies in the media ?. If you want to inform and assure the public that you’re on top of the problem, I would think that the most poignant way to announce your readiness would be for the residents of these places, be it in Abuja or Plateau or Benue, to notice that these abductions and killings have been significantly reduced from the last set of attacks. But that’s not the case, they’re occurring virtually every other week. So my take would be that the seeming lethargy noticed from the security forces in diminishing the success of these criminals can only point to the lack of political will on the part of the government. There is some compromise somewhere because it is not just normal for a sovereign in about nine years under the same political party to surrender authority and control of the power of coercion to a group of criminals within its territory and is acting helpless. It was the late General Abacha who was quoted to have said that “Any Insurgency that lasts more than 24 hours, a government official has a hand in it.” These killings and madness should stop.

    2. How can you catch a thief when you are telling the thief you are around coming to catch them. Fulani police force of Nigeria. Nonsense. JMO
