@@FroVideo aw, thank you, but no, you guys are awesome. I've watched some of your other videos and it's obvious that you put a lot of thought and work into them.
I was watching shorts before bed last night and this one came on. I had to turn it off and watch some happy cartoons instead. Too accurate. I came back to in in the day though! 😂
Man, this was bloody brilliant. For someone that have experienced sleep paralysis this was really well made and truly well shows how it really feels like. 10/10 ya’ll 👍
We have a similar version in Brazil, the Pisadeira. Its a hag that comes to step on your chest at night. It's really interesting how the character of the hag is present in multiple cultures!
I enjoyed this short for two reasons; the suspense and dread tones and the simplicity of the story. Supernatural entities and spirits exist and are quite relatable.
What's terrifying is that people actually experience this all over the world. What they see is virtually the same across borders, languages, and cultures. Truth really is scarier than fiction
@@FroVideo Agreed. I remember fearing that I was seeing my figurines move as a child and felt my chest feeling pressured by something sitting on it, crazy to explain but I can relate
Nooo! I hated seeing that for him.. his wife with the baby.. who knows how old and he still laid up on the couch. 😭 Sad thing is the wife knew it was a witch(I'm mad at her, she was so cool in the beginning being supportive and trying to help him find the problem)and didn't do anything to help her husband before her baby was born as she was trying to warn her husband that it needed to be done before the baby came. Lol This is going to give me worst nightmares because I get sleep paralysis. Ive seen things but it's not something that consistently happens when I get sleep paralysis. It's more of a game I play with myself.. I'll say lift your leg up "now" move your hand "now" and just keep going through that over and over again until I can start wiggling something or get up lol but even though now even when I'm going through it I know what it is that wasn't always the case. It used to happen to me as a kid all the time and I would say what I just said I said above all the time. It wasn't until I was twenty-five or so when I start experiencing it again when I learned what it was, but this time it was even more frightening experience.. I'd see a dark figures, hear footsteps sometimes and even seeing stuff from the corner of my eyes and it definitely does feel like somebody is sitting on my body not allowing me to get up... It's crazy to think that I could still be laying there but I think I'm living out my life but it's just a dream. 😅 Someone, anyone in the matrix.. if this is true and you see this, please pull my plug. Not joking. I don't want to kill myself just pull my plug, like just stroke me out or something. I think it's going to happen anyways but I'm just telling you that it's okay and to just go ahead with it now. If I don't respond it's because the matrix killed me. 😮
My mom suffered from this for 40 years this plus growing up in a haunted house made me become an occultist and better Catholic Yes they go together most magick books were written by clergy and believers we must know how to defend ourselves
I had this like 5 times before...I do not know which was more terrifying..the ince when I was alone or when someone is sleeping next to me but I never could contact him😢 7:11
My cousin is sensitive and she has dealt with sleep paralysis. She said she remembers when she was sleeping, she awoke to see a ugly looking old lady aka witch who was sitting on top of her chest and she could not move. The old lady said, you are mine and I am going to take you and my cousin yelled, no you are not, I am a child of God and I love Jesus. Eventually she was able to wake up, She has had this happen to her a few times. She even used to sleep with a picture of Jesus under her pillow when she was a little girl. She even sees an ugly old man that will appear out of nowhere. She said, once she was with a group of friends in someone's backyard and all of a sudden this ugly old scary man was standing in the corner laughing at her. She told none of her friends because she knew they would not believe her. She told me, now as adults that she never told us what she saw because she knew we would have made fun of her. And you know what, she is right. We would have because we were stupid young kids. She even had a dream of a house that was haunted that she knew her family as going to move to. She never saw the place and when a couple of years later, her parents bought a new house. It was the house she saw in her dreams.
This was incredible! Not many people have heard of Sleep Paralysis but it is definitely a real thing! I used to hear stories all the time about a witch riding your chest. It scared the hell outta me then... it scares the hell outta me now! Great short !! Love it!
I’ve had it on and off since I was a kid. I even incorporated some of my real experiences in a book, fictionalized of course, so it fits into the story
@@larryyoakum3 I spoke with many who have suffered in the creation of this short to make it as accurate as I can. Dialogue is all an amalgamation of verbatim statements and all occurances were depicted as described to me. Very scary that many experiences are similar.
@@FroVideo I think there is more to it than just a medical explanation. I have seen a few things in my life that make me know there is more to this world than just what we see.
Sleep paralysis is true. I am 70 years old now but when I was in my 40's I could never open my eyes but would know it was coming. Then suddenly I could not breathe and had heaviness in my chest. I would pray in my mind for Jesus to help me and I would wake up my heart pounding. It happened off and on for years. Thanks to prayer I have been free 30 years.
I find these "spirits" that appear during sleep paralysis never have respect for personal space. Its all fine and well to spook someone, but there are still boundaries 🙄
The title just sucked me in. I loved this film. It was CREEPY....great plot...And I'd love to see a sequel. Like what happens to them with the baby now?! Does the witch 🧹🪄 go away or does something sinister happen. 👀 Great work!
the slavic-folk call it strigoi annd Moroi - after 9 days of the ghost revisting the places close to her the most in life, therre is 40 days of part of to her afterlife. if she fail, or being malevolent/restless spirit, she return, start as an Gluttonous and boisterous poltergeist, then start to astral-travel out of his body, many time as an light-sphere who can possese and cause 'night hag' attacks (like the raven mocker, preta, and the nordic draugr's "cat-like sleep paralysis form, that grow bigger and heavier like the Mylling) to slowly turn their dead/ill body to like an chrysalis or an egg like-state,' heal his dead organs, and create new layer of skin and in the end an boneless body (and slightly deformed but nearly identical to his old look) with sharp-tongue (mannangal?) inside of the dead one to sap-out the energy/nioutrions of people, and animals by riding them - who is found exhausted in the morning (and the native American Skadegamutc, nelusa falaya-Impa Shilup)
The people that never experienced this sort of thing, you are a lucky few. You guys did a really good job on this film, Bravo!
My daughter suffers from horrible sleep paralysis. She sees dark figures coming towards her but she can't move. She has them terribly !!
Tell your daughter don’t sleep on her back
Don't know what I have done to deserve this but RUclips has recommended several gems this evening and this is one of them.
