All things considered, IQ is the best band of all time. Nick from Pendragon said they are the perfect prog band. I say they are the perfect band, regardless of genre.
The live streams have been brilliant - seen a few bands do them, but the IQ shows were the closest to a real “live” experience! They definitely made a difference when we’re all stuck without gigs!
love it! typical IQ madness going on here, with tim speeding from the go, a hermit crab crawling behind the interviewer, and to top it off? peter goes on a quick LSD trip to see "kevin from mars" at 31 min in, great to hear the de fab IQ boys are feeling positive overall about gigging again.
I just got the IQ40 double CD about 6 weeks ago and I've been playing it non-stop, it seems. Their live recordings have long been good but there's something special here. A band this old shouldn't sound this DAMN GOOD...and yet they do!!! I have loved IQ since The Wake and they keep getting better and better!!! Look forward to IQ50!! ;-)
Cheers from Germany for another 40 years 🍺. Discovered you when Paul Menel was the singer. A sad moment was when Martin Orford left the band. Prog on! 🎵
Great to hear from the band. Hopefully December shows will go on. So looking forward the these 2 new releases. They both look brilliant. I am one those late comers who missed out on all those goodies.
Where is that great full concert that was here on youtube in Mexico? It lasted thee hours and the sound was brilliant, their best ever! After the show they talked to the fans and before the show you could see footage of them driving in a car making jokes and having fun. I can't find this concert anywhere and I wonder who posted it at the time.
What the heck is the guy above on the left doing all the time ??? Grimacing, grooming his hair, more grimacing... An output with a lot of highs, some more at sea level ("not really good not really bad") and here and there a misser. Sounds a bit like Saga; and they too have survived all those decades con brio.

Wow that is some compliment
Cheers, for 40 more years! Thank you for your brilliant music!

Fan since The Wake, saw the boys supporting Wishbone ash on that tour

I met Widge soon after he left, he signed my albums and seemed a very nice genuine bloke (contrary to his 'grumpy' reputation)
Thank you so much for the Music... Great musicians... Cheers from Quintero, Chile... 🇨🇱

All praise the purple elephant!
Seeing you guys not losing humour in these odd times makes me happy. It's time to see you again - hopefully just before Christmas.
40 years 🥳
Fond memories of Glen Miller being played at the Marquee
Worry not Peter, distanced & masked or no mask I’m sure we’ll all be at the 229 to welcome you back!

There’s some weird lack of synchronicity with John’s stream 😁
I miss those nights at the marquee so much
I love IQ, nuff said.
I've been a big fan in California since the early eighties.
Who’s the interviewer?
Mark Hughes.
