I don't necessarily dislike Byron, but I definitely didn't wait 27 and a half hours to have him win. That's nasty, not even including the Austin Hill 300.
I still think the Hill win is worse. The Byron win had at least some sentimental value to him and the rest of Hendrick Motorsports, as it was their 40th anniversary. The Austin Hill win? That meant _absolutely nothing._ That win had zero value. First time I left before the post-race interview.
At least we won’t have to put Byron on the Rusty Wallace/Tony Stewart/Kyle Busch/Martin Truex/Brad Keselowski list of champions without a 500 win whenever he eventually gets it done, better that than another Cindric 500 or someone like LaJoie continuing the midfield driver winning the 500 streak we’ve had going since 2021
@@TweezersUnlimited Yep. It means absolutely nothing. It’s pretty impressive, don’t get me wrong, but it gets really old really fast. Soon enough, he’ll get his fourth. Then his fifth. They didn’t want to throw the yellow and have another OT 500 and were hoping the spinners wouldn’t head back up on track, if the 1 & 2 hadn’t started coming back up they would’ve left it green

The reason they didn't throw it in a split second was because they had to see what was going to happen. If the cars would have both spun down into the grass further, they wouldn't have thrown it, but while Chastain was good, Cindric wasn't and started moving back up towards the track. They had no choice at that point and that's exactly when they threw it.
Heres what gets me. That is understandable, but races prior they would throw the yellow immediately even if its a single car spin not going towards the pack, but this time they decide until they see the white? I dont get that part.
Look bowman had a minor oopsie poopsie it happens. I think the real criminal here is Brad for driving through someone on lap 5. At least bowman did it on lap 190.
A minor oopsie lol took out the whole field Brad pushed jhn when jhn blocked on lap 5 just cause Brad had a mistake on lap 5 does not make bowman’s accident justifiable lol

Before this race, I was under the impression that the flagger would have the white flag in his hand, but his other hand is hovering over the yellow lights button as soon as he saw a crash. Apparently not
Your 2023 Champ, doesn’t even know it’s a horrible idea to try holding onto the wheel during a wreck… and continues trying to hold the wheel after hurting his hand. Good job Blaney.
Why did they throw the yellow? Why didnt they throw it sooner? Dude they were 200 yards from the line that is 1.5 seconds they had no chance to throw the yellow that fast
Reminder: They raced back to the line in 2020 after Chase Elliott had spun middle pack, in the middle of the track after the white flag had been displayed.
