if you ever get the chance to meet him ( ie waiting in the cold after a gig at the back door of venue) grab it with both hands.....this guy is a gent....so inteligent ....such a pleasure to chat to.......Ive met him 3 times in all.....they say never meet your heros......in Midge Ure's case he didnt let me down.....

Not compared to today they weren't. I was born in 77 and so saw the home video games coming through and my brother had one (Commadore 64?) but we didn't all have free access to video games properly until the very late 80's to the 90's. Music was far more important to almost everyone I knew than video games were, at least back in the 80's.
Ummmm yes they were I was born in 1980 so I remember the craze for them being jus tas big as music like how the Cabbage patch dolls were they are iconic part of the 1980's , That is why they are referenced in every TV show or film that are out now being set in the 80's or when you watch old programmes from back in the day as PC's, Arcade or Consoles is visable I remember many many adverts as I'm sure you did for PC's for likes of Apple, IBM, Amiga, and consoles like Atari, Spectrum, Amstrad, Nintendo-NES- Sega-Master System + Megdrive/Genesis for likes of Argos, Dixons , Toys R' US, Woolworths, WHSMTH, I could go on........Commodore 64 is a classic They sold millions and millions worldwide and were around for years! And always in magazines like Argos, Electronic Games etc What you mean we didn't have all free access to video games properly until the late 80's/early 90's Video games on any platform was just as big as the music except the games crash in 1983 but apart from that it didn't-www.primagames.com/games/super-mario-3d-world/feature/34-awesome-things-we-loved-about-playing-video-games-80s
