Snorkeling l Diving l Dharan to Bhutiya Daha: What Lies Beneath? Part-I

This is the first ever snorkeling dive in Bhutiya Pool at Beltar in Udayapur district of eastern Nepal. We tried to find out what lies in the water of this legend pool. Though the pool is a small one but the community around has lots of tales. Some say its the abode of a wizard. Some claim its haunted. Some say there's a cave where ghosts live. Anyway we have yet to find out what's the truth and explore the mysteries of this pool. Our first dive was to fathom the depth of the and to know the surroundings. Many believe that its got a cave right under the giant rock and it hides some secrete and that secrete has yet to be disclosed. Our next expedition will reveal whether there is a hidden underground cave or not. The pool is medium size but deep enough for diving sports. Its the latest attraction for local thrill seekers who come from nearby Dharan, Itahari, Biratnagar, Gaighat and even from Jhapa!
