@marleycoldburr not wrong, but at the same time, did penn state deserve their easy path? Their big ten schedule didnt include Oregon or Indiana like ours did. I think that's the issue most people have. Our resume is simply better than Penn State's

This weather thing is crazy! UT is in the mountains. We just climbed out of the teens, calling for snow tomorrow. We are not warm or even mild in the winter. We are cold as he** with stretches of arctic blasts. 20s would be fine. Our guys practice early mornings. Generally 20 -30 degrees. Oh ya. Tennessee loves night games. It's basically all we play.

I was watching the 2014 run on RUclips a few nights ago - this team isn’t cut from the same cloth and neither are the coaches. That team not only flew around the field like our skill guys do now, but the physicality was something we haven’t seen in Columbus since Urban left.

Yeah, who the hell wants to hear from the only guy on the panel who played for OSU, in the NFL, announced games, hosts radio show, works out with the team etc. What does he know?
There is NO cold weather advantage for Ohio State. Knoxville, Tennessee is COLD this time of the year. High temps in the 30s or 40s and lows in the low-mid 20's. Knoxville had a 8-10 inch snowstorm in early November of 2023. Knoxville isn't Florida or the Bahamas.
If it was winters of the past I would strongly disagree, but though it's what, two weeks out, I could see it be in the 30 s, but it can just as easily be in the teens with big wind chills. We will see . My biggest concern isn't the weather, it's the coaching. And believe it or not I don't think it will be Days coaching or even Kelly's, I think most thing I'm concerned about is Justin Frye s coaching. I have absolutely zero faith in him getting our offensive line ready. In the two years he's been in charge of the offensive line, he's failed so bad at it, I find myself wishing Stud was coaching the line. No faith in Frye at all and like I said before, Frye will be Days undoing.Not saying Day gets off the hook, that Michigan game still hurts deeply and still feel like he let down the players as well as fans, but if Frye would of did his job, our line would of been developed, even with replacements in, the blocking would of been better and maybe, just maybe it would of been enough to win that game, even with the horrible play calling.

Yah I'm pretty sure Tennessee players were complaining about their heaters on the sideline not working just this year during a game. I believe it was like 55 degrees that day. I could be wrong but I've swear that was reported at one point.
Either way Ryan Day needs to get this team ready to go and coach like we have seen against Clemson and Georgia. No reason to hold anything back now!

Why is it that so many fans think that cold and inclement weather somehow favors the Buckeyes? We are not built that way, we are built on speed, agility, with some power mixed in....We are not a "3 yards and cloud of dust" type of team. A cold and wet/snowy field only slows our superior athletes down for our opponents.

Penn State scored so many points, because Oregon's defense is not as good as some think.
They’ve been great on defense all year and had one bad game. They looked good against OSU
Ohio State scored 31 vs Oregon. I think they have very good players but aren't some crazy good defense. That same Penn State offense didn't score an offensive touchdown against Ohio State.
That being said I kind of feel bad for Oregon, they got screwed for being a #1 seed. It's very hard for a team to go undefeated during an entire year and now they get this gauntlet for doing so... Hopefully next year there are some changes.
I agree on your points. Ducks have talent on D but aren't elite as a unit. Faced 2 top 5 teams and gave up 69 points and 1000 yards! Yikes! Part of that may be their philosophy on offense to score a bunch and go up tempo. More possessions for their D to be on the field.
They also are getting screwed by their bracket.
@@craigknisley1956 yah Oregon's offense puts such pressure on you to score every time you have the ball that they just need their defense to get a few stops each game. I think the only way Oregon loses is when it finds a team (hopefully my buckeyes) that can consistently stop that offense from scoring.
Ironically this used to be Ryan Day's philosophy. Lots of possessions and points and force the opponent to keep up.

So none of you are worried about OSU underperforming in the Shoe as they generally do (now twice this season)? None of you are worried that Ryan Day doesn’t generally win against talented teams? I’m really not trusting OSU to win the Nati, let alone round 1.
I think most doubt Day now but also understand that the roster is stacked with really good veteran players. They make up for Day's inadequacies. That and Knowles has really stepped up. D always keeps u in the game.
I tend to think the team will be pissed after 3 weeks hearing the noise. Same deal before the PSU game. We'll see which version of the team shows up.

OSU has 2 top tier wins, the best roster in cfb, one of the top point differentials, and the #1 D. Also lost to #1 on the road by 1 point in a back and forth game. The TTUN game stunk but it was a rivalry game.
Who else should get the home game? Vols? There's a reason OSU is favored by 7+. Though Vols have a really good team and will make it tough.
