pet shop boys Reaction, Reaction to Two Divided By Zero. Two Divided By Zero, petshop boys, 2 divided by 0, 2 / 0
Of course they are underrated. Their music is timeless and fantastic. This song is a great opener for their first album. There are plenty of songs that will blow your mind with this band 😊
One of my favorites by PSB. Fantastic overall sound. So cool. His voice is amazing.
what a opening song for their debut album!
I loved this song!!! Still listen to it now :D
I think they are talking about people became a bussines person left their normal life and cheat people in wall street , and someone else pay the bill
Its not underated song ...
It is one of the big hits of PSB.
You can't divide by zero.
suburbia was an ok track by pet shop but this was a bit of a poor track. front 242 did that sound a lot better. feelines is worth a listen by front 242
I have nothing nice to say about Pet Shop Boys.. Period
Where does your hate for them stem from?
@@SephPlays Little rich boys playing with their expensive toys... Neil Tennent was a pop critic for the pop magazine Smash Hits and was quite brutal when reviewing Depeche Mode.. Want me to carry on??
@@westernsect5773 what kind of stuff did he say? Genuinely curious 😯
@@SephPlays He was really down on the singles they released (he wasn't the only one) The UK music press was seriously against Depeche Mode where they influenced the general public to detest the band ... UK music press were intensely brutal at the time
Geez. I don't really understand. Unless their songs get SUPER controversial in their later albums!? Something i haven't heard yet?
I think these guys are so overrated!! I like maybe two songs. Neil’s voice gets tiresome real quick.
Love your reaction and really like this song. Though I have to tell that there are only a few PSB songs that have no effect on me. It's great that their lyrics deal with so many topics and aspects of life. And even the simpler songs turn out to be wonderfully multilayered. I'm sure you'll find lots of songs that will amaze you.
Great reaction!
You gotta love the layers and details (you discover stuff each time you listen to it) in this song, one of so many great PSB songs that didn't end up as singles. Neil's voice fits perfectly!
Im really starting to see the appeal with PSB. So im going to carry on this journey :D
I actually know the meaning of this song from Neil's own description. Firstly the two divided by zero bit is from a talking calculator he bought his dad one Christmas, and the running away was as he was growing up there were a lot of teenage pregnancies or dramas surrounding them and it's the story of a couple who were planning to run away knowing they never actually would make it
On a second listening, i can hear what you are saying and it makes sense in that way 😯
Absolutely an under rated band who were the most successful band in the world not to tour so they made a feature film it couldn't happen here featuring the likes of Barbara Windsor, joss Ackland and Gareth hunt
The first song on the first album. I love it, and it might not be the best song from PSB but it's very high on the list.
First song of their first album ❤️
Two people eloping for love. And given Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe’s sexual orientation, it points to the families not knowing or accepting that the elopes are gay. While it’s far more acceptable today, if you look at when it was written, it’s was not something that was openly talked about.
SEPH, I have to say, this song by the Pet Shop Boys, is good. Also love the accent of the singer. Although I've heard bands on your Channel that l don't listen to at all, l would enjoy more of the PSBs, especially if they are some of the popular songs. Good reaction! THANK YOU! 😏
I'm not going to stop with Pet Shop Boys :DDDDD
One of my first favorites. I was 13.
Just saw the PSB at the Hollywood Bowl. Tons of great music to go through.
What they like live?
@@SephPlays Neil’s voice is incredible. It stands up after all these years and the production on the music was fantastic. My wife who is a casual fan was blown away.
😯Sounds sweet! What was the ticket prices like?
@@SephPlays Bought them 2 years ago prior to the pandemic. They were roughly $100.00 a piece. Concert kept getting postponed due to Covid. It was a double bill with New Order. An 80’s dream come true.
I still haven't got around to new order. But my plan is to listen to them in the future 😁
100 is good to be honest. How far back were you?
I love this song. ‘Please’ was the first album I ever bought and still holds a special place decades later.
“Let’s catch a plane to NY and a cab going down, tomorrow morning we’ll be miles away.” Who hasn’t dreamed of that!
Hey Seth, Erik here. Been a while sir. Love this old tune. One of my favs from the early 80's. I was wondering if you could do an obscure song from Ah Ha called Living a Boy's Adventure Tale and give me your thoughts? It was from their first album and kind of a beautiful little jam.
I'll add it to my list 📃😉
Your reactions are great, i hope you will listen more psb, as there are a lot more to discover. They have just released a small collection of demos yesterday and some are really great.
Aww than kyou Jul :D
I definitely will be doing all songs of theirs
The robotic voice is from that childs toy- speak and spell-
First cut on their first album.. and ive been hooked ever since
Ohh that was a speak and spell!???? I ised to have one of those as a kid 😂
I agree this is their most underrated songs! I have loved it since the first time I heard it!
I sooooo love it . ...let's not go home....my words,my world 😁
I love the whole song, but the instrumental part starting at 4:00 really puts me in a trance. By the way, any number divided by zero is actually UNDEFINED 0:07.
We take it for granted today but they were using samplers which in the 80's were just making their appearance in pop music. They were horrendously expensive and and you had only 16kB memory to play with.
👍 love this track ❤️
