Well only the east coast… San Francisco will mostly be served by the 777-200lrs and possibly a350-900/1000ulrs if air India orders them. Maybe DEL-SFO could work on an a350-900.
@@roctechproductions I hope so, the other day my dad's bags didn't arrive from SFO to BLR due to winds at SFO. It was a full flight, so I doubt that the A350 could've done it. Nevertheless, the better cabin and fuel savings will make it worth it.
It's our national carrier flying to Heathrow and we Indians are happy about the route go Air India and Airbus a350 forever ♥❤💙💖 Airbus fans here ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where is the 777 from the DEL-LON route being re allocated to? I sincerely hope Air India will try to push a bit more towards the point to point model and away from the current hub and spoke model.
Thank god, I have been taking Air-India Delhi-LHR route over 5 times yearly since 2022 and it is absolutely dreadful. None of the entertainment systems work, and sometimes the air conditioner is faulty too! Hopefully my experience in September is better!
So Air India's a350-900s going to London was pretty predictable honestly. I didn't expect them for routes to JFK and EWR though considering I thought that they would use the a350-1000s instead. Like the a350-900s being used alongside the 787 routes and the a350-1000s being used alongside the 777 routes. It's quite nice that they are pushing the a350-900 towards North American flights. I just wish they did this with their chicago flights.
Why air India not using some used a380s on their long _haul routes,,,,,,instead of those dreaded 777 and 787 A used one goes for around 40 million. Is the ceo up to the challenge!!!??
I think Indian airline companies are denied access to the Pakistani airspace. So the map of the ariel route between Delhi and London shown in this video, although the shortest route, is not what is followed by Air India.
Air India does fly over Pakistan. See Flightradar24 or similar. I don't think it currently serves any destinations in Pakistan but it does fly over on the way to other places, for example London.
Weird to see Air India deploying latest ‘n’ greatest A350 to LHR I.e. ex-colonial master. One may expect Indian flag carrier would first fly those state of the art planes to MOW I.e. current best trade partner whose Aeroflot originally ordered those A350.
Can't wait for these to show up on Del-MEL and DEL-SYD routes. Also they need cleaning crew on these flights as the toilets get filthy a couple of hours into the flight and the flight crew want nothing to do with cleaning them.

Air India A-350-900 livery has lost their identity completely. India/ Bharat is full of symbols and colors. They should rethink about this transformation and weigh in their national historic importance.
Once more of Air India's new fleet comes in & it's old widebodies are refurbished - it will finally become a really good Airline & the preferred choice of Indian travellers.....I find all foreign airlines flying into & from India crappy as far as service & food is concerned. Foreign crew can't handle the 5-10% of desi flyers who tend to be assh*les - Indian crews can.
Air India is good in most ways. However if you are on an aircraft with an entertainment system do not expect this to work (although you might get a pleasant surprise), and if you are on a Boeing 787 do not expect to see anything out of the window except for a short while after take-off and just before and during landing. The 787 has electrochromic glass (like in an automatic welding mask) in the windows and often the crew black them all out, overriding the individual controls under the windows.
Makes sense since DEL-LHR is really their flagship route. Hopefully they’ll also use A350s to JFK and other US routes soon.

Their flagship route is just Del to Mumbai 😂😂 Endians hype it up , it's a bad airline

This route makes sense for that airframe. High demand, high density.
Are the Air India 350s high density layout like French Bee?

That’s great news! Never been on the A350 and I’m flying to Delhi late September.
Please check you aircraft before travel as not all are A350.. Better to be sure than being disappointed seeing a old Boeing
Their A350s look quite handsome in the new livery.
I was literally waiting for this news😊
Happy to hear that ❤
Not convinced yet Indian Airlines can provide an outstanding service!
A321XLR just received type certification by EASA

a350 the best! beutiful plane

A reliable and resilient workhorse such as the a350 greatly complements the transcontinental services of Air India. A wise move for sure!

Lol They just declared they will start Flights from DELHI to New York and Newark
They are slowly expanding the distance.... First, domestic, then Dubai, now London and next year JFK and Newark....
I hope Air India goes to Boston my hometown
They will next year
If they deploy A350 on BOM-LHR route then I’ll consider flying Air India.
It will but Airbus deliveries are slow due to which several new routes got delayed.
Just today they announced routes to USA as well! Waiting for the DEL-YYZ route🤞

No surprise actually
Airbus should start making A380 with a large passenger capacity for Air India . It might be useful for London and US routes.
Hope Airbus improves its manufacturing capacity so that more routes can be opened by Air India. Very slow motion aircraft manufacturer.
