@@RomaneTheTrucker go get a teat for yourself and just remember the pay if forward attitude, a buddy did this for me at one time, so I did the same for you.
Most definitely 💪🏾
@@RomaneTheTrucker if ya have any questions; feel free to drop me an email and I'll do what I can to answer it or ask one of the many OTR truckers I have gotten to know over the decades. We tend to help those that are newer to the life with as much knowledge and skill as the trucker wants.
Sweet, I have my facebook and instagram “Romane Prime M McKenzie” people personal message me there. I have to set up and email soon for the channel. Most times when I have question I put it in a video so other rookies like myself can see the answer as well.
Romaine up down around n around 💪🤣😀💪 stay safe bro!
Those mountains almost got me dizzy 😵💫 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I feel u bro 💪
Them west Virginia mountains go forever. They are miserable in rain at night...it's too damn hot for that hat
😂😂 the hat was just for the video, the hair was looking a bit crazy. I cannot imaging those mountains in rainy and snowy conditions. 😮
Maan I was wondering when will it ends. It didn’t end until I hit OHIO 😂🤦🏽♂️ next time I will be mentally ready to go through there
rain x some of the best stuff ever created
@@RomaneTheTrucker get you a fork and tame that fro
@@GrdDog I have rain x fluid and treatment
West Virginia mountain 🏔️ no joke cuz bless you self family 🙏🏿
Bless up yoself cuz. West Virginia mountain mash me up
I was just going thru those mountains yesterday and you’re absolutely right 😂 they are no joke!
😂😂 big facts those mountains ain’t no joke. I was wondering all alone when will I see flat lands 😂
Hey romane I’ll be going to orientation this Sunday morning bro I’ll be with convenant transportation in Tennessee man thanks for your amazing videos I’ll be using it to help me on my truck journey man but those mountains sounds scary azz hell I know I’m gonna see snow man too
Congratulations on going to trucking school. Yeah those mountains aren’t no joke. Good luck on your trucking journey and stay safe. Glad my videos could help you out.
I feel you 100%. My only critical event was during TNT driving through Charleston WV. Going 60mph around a curve going the speed limit. I didn’t know it happened until I switched with my trainer and he let me know I got a critical. Didn’t even feel like it was unstable. But those curves are no joke. Gotta take it easy in West Virginia and have some stamina. I was driving overnight too. Not the place you want to be tired driving through
I understand estimated West Virginia. I can see students catch a bunch of critical in those mountains, especially when prime trucks are so sensitive.
hahaha welcome to the mountains; the fun part is when you leave the Interstate highways and run two lane roads on the winding mountain roads. You will see things that seldom repeat in life; that is also when the danger of driving in the mountains really kicks in, seeing clouds go by and there is no shoulder to the road, only a little guard rail.
Then keep in mind running those roads in winter with snow and ice; not a fun time, get ready for chains and tow straps, prepare now for what is to come later in the season, especially in the OTR life.
Yeah I am OTR, I can only imagine those mountains during bad condition. I know I will be going at a very decent safe speed. I was happy when I got a straight and flat road yesterday. I will be making videos about my winter experience so stay tuned. Also chaining up will be a pain in the @$$. I hate the wind, one time I thought I heard a big rock hit my trailer, but it was the wind 😂😃
@@RomaneTheTrucker been running OTR for 30+ years and two seasons are never the same; I think this year is gonna be real nasty, so becareful and be prepared. I look forward to your video experience; a thought for ya. You should video your trip and then do the narration for it; let people see what you are talking about, this will draw in more like minded people.
Up, down, round and around sounds like a song title 🤣
Almost got me dizzy😂
@@RomaneTheTrucker 😭😭😭
I went OTR “training” in May and it was my first time driving thru any hills/ mountains, first time driving a semi especially in Virginia. I live in South Texas about 20 minutes from the Mexico border all we have is straight roads! My “trainer” pretended to be asleep while I figured it out, I drove from Tennessee thru Virginia a total of 386 miles before I couldn’t drive no more. I had no training in the Jake break, didn’t know there was levels, and my trainer didn’t help at all until I yelled for her to come and guide me because being a first time driver I felt like I was loosing it. This was day two of my training, I’m no longer at that company. I understand you completely on those Virginia mountains, it’s no joke!
It was crazy yesterday for me Vanesssa, I am good at mountain driving but that West Virginia and Virginia area was just constant mountains. I love driving in Texas, the roads are straight and long. I hope you are still into trucking and over come that bad experience you had 😃💪🏾 stay safe out there chica.
Thanks! I love your videos and they have helped me alot.
Thank you so much for your donation I truly appreciate it. I will keep dropping these helpful videos to help insure and motivate you guys. 😃💪🏾
I took that same route twice the same week.I just take my time they’re not as bad compared to out west but those curves nothing to play with if you loaded. I see drivers doing 65 hitting those curves, couldn’t be me
I see drivers going 65 too , I was like what the heck! 😂 yeah out west is more dangerous and the WV mountains will make you tired and run out your clock, especially if your loaded
RaSta Man,
😂Up, Down Round n Round 😅
Did you get Dizzy?
Glad you made it.
safely...
Olu out.
I almost got dizzy😂. What messed me up was the anticipation of seeing flat lands and never get to see it 😂.
Those mountains will kill your clock😊
It did eat up my clock, I was 42k loaded in the trailer. Good thing though I was going through it in the day time. It could burn out your brakes as well, but I wasn’t mainly using the Jake 😃
@RomaneTheTrucker Thise routes will knock you right out of your fuel bonus aswell.
My MPG went down a bit😟 I got random drug test today at Springfield terminal, New video coming out tomorrow 😮
@@RomaneTheTrucker I bet it's gonna be good !
Under stand I worked at Salem va for a year as dedicated route it nothing to play with mountain lions
I think next time when I go through there it will be better because I know what to expect now. I will just try and enjoy the drive and listen to that Jake brake as entertainment 😂
Same thing happened to me and when i got to Ohio it was a lot of tight construction roads 😭 couldn’t catch a break lol
I was lucky to catch a break in Ohio. it was smooth sailing once I get to Ohio. I could only imaging how you felt after going through both situation 😂
@@RomaneTheTrucker yea man them constructions in Ohio are no joke combined with traffic, luckily I live there so I did expect the constructions but still man driving a semi through tight spaces had me sweating and the A/C was on 😭🤣
😂😂😂 lol @ AC was on
😂 next time listen my brother 😂
😂😂 I thought I was the man🤦🏽♂️ I will listen next time for sure 😂
wasnt u tha same one telln me that them west coast mountains worse😂😂 told u
😂😂😂😂 west coast mountains are more scary, but west Virginia is a headache due to the constant mountains . So I will say West Virginia is the worse, because I couldn’t get to relax 😂😂 you guys were right 😅
@@RomaneTheTrucker yea
man but east coast is worse because its two lanes and constant switch baccs. idk what you was running but i assume it was tha 77 and 64, 81 and 66/68 are terrible too. than tha 24 n 40 n 75 im tenneesee sux too
I was running i77 to 64. You guys were right about the east 😂
@@RomaneTheTrucker were u running day or night?
It was day time so I got lucky 😂
💯
Aren’t PA and VA mountains the same?
I’ve heard PA mountains are bad, but I haven’t seen it all except the long straight steep mountains which can be dangerous especially if you’re heavy. VA mountains I only got a small piece of it, but it was very similar to WV mountains. I guess depending on where you are in Virginia the mountains can be similar to PA. But that whole PA, WV, VA area have some crazy mountains. They are three states in the same area.
West Virginia Mountains seems to never end, been there three times hated it every time...
That’s what I hate about WV mountains, they don’t end 😂
_How can y’all deal with those slow ass trucks?_
😂😂 I am a new Rookie driver so it’s the perfect speed for me. Also the goal is safety and we want to get the load deliver safely so we can get back home to our families. Haste makes waste lol. Also going slow save money on fuel , Every penny counts. 💪🏾😂
Lol
Ha try Colorado
Colorado is more dangerous, but after the mountains in Colorado you get to drive on flat roads. West Virginia has no flat roads and will drive you nuts for hours
Is prime really getting rid of solo driving unless you lease with them?
They said it’s not true.
@@RomaneTheTrucker Oh okay, I just know that companies will say it won't happen and then it will happen just to keep workers there, I wanted to go to prime to get training and get my CDL but not if they are switching over to lease only.
Call up the recruiter. Prime said it’s a rumor and they were only having the company team situation for a short temporary time.
@@RomaneTheTrucker True, I appreciate you
I saw so many P R I M E trucks on 1-80 today by Evanston. Many were taking their 30 at the TA fuel island . But they're getting their money lol 🤑
And you were empty. Those hills are miserable with 80000 lbs
I was 42k in the trailer. Going up the mountains I was barely getting it to climb, and coming down it was pushing me. Good thing I am use to mountain, my only gripe was the constant up and down and no straight nor flat roads 😂
@@RomaneTheTrucker I misunderstood the story. I thought you were on the way to get a load
😂 when I get the warning phone call about the West Virginia mountains, that’s when I was at the shipper. 😃💪🏾
@@RomaneTheTrucker 💯
Yea them mf’s no joke lol I remember my first West Virginia mountains experiences 🏔️ 😂
My cousin told me the MT was crazy journey
😂 I will always remember my WV mountain experience. I think next time I will be more comfortable going through there knowing what to expect 💪🏾
Thanks!
Thank you Charles for you donation 😃💪🏾
