These songs have been taking me much longer to make lately. aside from my normal day job of making music for people I feel like recently my songs have been getting more complex and intricate in the lyric writing and mixing process. let me know wht you guys thing. Is all this extra work worth it?

There's nothing wrong with complexity in the music you make, so long that it actually serves the musical intent of the track. As for whether it's worth it, I think you're the only one who can really say for sure. From how I see it, you already have a job with a relatively steady income that you make music for, so this channel is really just a side thing. I would say that the extra effort you spend is worth it simply because you grow as an artist by learning new techniques and maybe new approaches to making music, and I value artistic growth over most anything else. You're not supporting yourself primarily through this channel, so you have the free reign you need to experiment as much as you want. You should take advantage of that!
Actually this channel is what leads to my Spotify which is half of my income. So making music for my channel is really important. While I will take more time on songs as I have been I want to supplement with extra content in between
@@IsaakWolf I stand corrected then. I still stand by my statement of letting yourself take more time on the tracks you make so you can expand and change your style. I took around 13 days (maybe around 15-20 hours in Ableton) to make my most recent track and I still feel like it was very rushed. But my goal with my channel isn't to build a consistent artistic brand so much as it is an experiment for me in which I learn new things as well as trying and seeing what works and what doesn't.

I wish I could like Arknights, it has cool character design and the comments hype the characters up and Isaak makes cool fan music. But the gameplay looks goofy asf. And would ruin any potential seriousness or tension built up in the story.
It's all a matter of perspective. I'm a fan of Tower defense and honestly the tension is still there. Certain stages feel like the world is ending and the difficulty is nuts. I firstly play the game for the gameplay and stick around for the world building
