*school calling connors parents* : we would like you to inform you that Connor has just been in a fight with another student
Connors parents: are you winning son?
Connor: yeah!
Connors parents: that's my boy
My parents be like
In my country, Dominican Republic, there's almost no bullying, mainly because of two things; your parents encourage you to demolish anyone who hits you, and also your friends always back you up if more than one person is picking on you. I believe that there's so much bullying in some places because kids are told to just receive it and not stand for themselves.
Clearly escalating to gang warfare is a great reason to respect people
@@redlight3932 exactly wtf🤣🤣
Maaaannnnn I wish I had that when I’d go to the school in my village. I was homeschooled so I got bullied a lot when I’d go into town at all(plus my family were considered outsiders cause we weren’t related to half the village) and when I’d get bullied and get fed up with it and retaliate, I’d be the one punished cause the teachers are related to the bullies.
I’ve always said that the “we don’t tolerate bullies” thing schools have posted everywhere is bull$hit. I mean no one does anything about it. Heck there’s more bullying then stopping bullying IMO.
It explains things, my friend is from there and apply this rule from his dad.
In my country there is no bullying because no school cares,so no reports.
At my school, it was usually either:
1. Stay back after class to have a word with the teacher for 5 minutes or so
2. Stand in the corridor outside the classroom
And while this is not a punishment per-se, one time a teacher tracked me down at the canteen and scolded me in front of everyone lol
same i never got detention, the worst i got was being forced to miss my recess in 6th grade cause some kids in my class wouldn't stop annoying our science teacher... so he decided to make us ALL stay indoors because of them.
At school, I got in a fight and lost. But I was praised as a hero. To put the story short, I was hungry, and the biggest scariest student pushed in line. I pushed him out of the line, he shoved me into a bush. I punched him in the face. He punched me in the throat. That’s all I can remember. Afterwards I learned that I basically picked a fight with a local gang leader, and I have balls of steel for even trying to stand up to him.
Our ISS in middle school was so chill for some reason haha. We'd eat lunch in a room with an admin and we'd all watch television, eat, and do homework. Eventually it stopped when a new guy took his place but yeah.
Tbh in some ways I wouldn't mind being allowed to just breeze through the work at my own pace bc some classes were padded for time or made unnecessarily complicated. Some teachers make teaching more complicated than what it needs to be.
"Bad things don't happen at school."
...Connor.
Repeat that, but slowly.
We're getting so many nominations for the "worst take of the year" award.
Schoolshooters: *ominous laughter*
@@NeinBreaker how's that count as worst take?
@@giratius9307 ...You're kidding, right?
@@NeinBreaker he's saying bad things didn't happened in his school and he's being confused by the guy's question because the concept of having a security in school is alien to him doesn't even count as a take. Sure, if you pick that sentence out of context it's count as bad take, but in this context it doesn't even count as a take it's just him being confused by the guy questions
I only ever got detention for being late for class. We were supposed to stay an extra hour and study. But 9 times out of 10 our teacher left us alone to attend staff meetings.
Not much studying were done, and most times we just left after 10-15 minutes when we were sure their meeting had started. (small Swedish town if anyone was wondering)
My teacher in primary school (Australia) made us do push-ups whenever we got in trouble 😂 as a detention alternative
All of my friends are like that guy, after school I never heard of them again, even when I try to contact them (which is very hard for me cuz I’m a massive introvert irl) they always say they’re busy and I’m fucking sick of it. One time I literally asked “do you have time to hang out like any time of the year?” and he’s like “i don’t know, maybe” Like Dude really, you really want to tell me you don’t have time THE WHOLE YEAR?!! wtf
I almost never got in trouble when I was in the college. At first it was because I was actually one of those rule-abiding kid and in the later years I have become really good at hiding it when I did break some rules. Or sometimes it was just the staff letting it slip. Like this one time on the weekend one of the other guys just walks into my room and starts pissing me off and wouldn't leave. So, after a much heated conversation, I whack him in the jaw. He then punches me in the eye. After a bit of struggling, I managed to get him out. On Monday our housemaster, who is a real lad btw, asks me "Why do you have a black eye? " And I was like "I fell and hit my face on the doorknob". And at this point I know that he knows I'm giving him shit. And he knows that I know that he knows. But! It's an all boys house, and he clearly sees I'm really certain not to snitch, so he assumes I've got it under control and just goes " Alright, fine, off you go" and that was it. What a lad, Mr. Harvey, he really is.
10:34 I don't know why his face and laugh here are so cute...
"what if something bad happens?" the response should've been "it becomes like a national headline for like 6 months"
11:26 Well at this point, after everything I've been put through, what does it matter?
I once got detention for fucking up a French sentence.
I used to study French as a supplementary course in grade school. Was quite good at it...at the time (could speak decent French). Now, I completely forgot all my lessons.
So, I was supposed to say a certain sentence in French. I did it right but used the wrong verb tense, which apparently annoyed the teacher and I got detention for it. I wasn't even misbehaving or being a total nuisance about it. I made a small mistake and was given an unnecessary punishment.
I remember being in first or second grade and we had to do some sort of colouring puzzle or something. I helped the girl next to me cause she was having a hard time and when I told my teacher happily that I helped the other girl with hers too, I was dumbfounded when the teacher’s response to what I said was to rip my paper in half 💀
Man was jealous of your rizz
i'll be honest, ive had the same group of friends since primary school. they arent my friends anymore. they're my family.
I remember having a "fight" in high school, didn't really make contact except for when a friend jumped in and got fuckin' slammed into a bench by the other guy so I hit him, didn't actually hit him hard cause I was a noodle arm little bitch but I ended up internally suspended cause I was the only one who admitted to making contact, the other guy got off with a 20 minute detention during break and for some reason my friend also got a detention despite not doing anything past getting involved, the school had this weird punishment system where you had to report if anything happened to you, but then the other party could make a conflicting report if they wanted to along with any "witnesses" so sometimes punishments would be a lot lighter than they should have been or go to the wrong place, just happened to get unlucky with the witnesses on hand
As an American who is at the tail end of my 30's, it is equally unfathomable to me to have security at school or active shooter drills. I graduated around the time Columbine happened and never would have imagined that nothing would be done about school shootings.
i got punished in school for the reason i called out a teacher who selling out tickets to a shitty play for a free pass for the finals tests.
When I was a junior in highschool (suburban Texas) this freshman brought his dad's pistol to give to some other freshman. Luckily they were really dumb, and tried to hand it off in a three ring binder in the cafeteria, so someone else saw it and reported them. I have a friend who went to a highschool where a student actually became an ISIL convert
In malaysia, for punishment we had this thing called a "Rotan" which the teacher would use to hit us with if we don't follow the rules or did not do our homework 😂
Oof I can still feel it on my hands
Are Fishbowl's a welsh school thing? I thought it was just mine.
We used to get lines as punishment
Ah yes, of course writing on paper will change your behaviour, wouldn't it?

6:10 "They were from Florida"
Me an American: Oh this is going to be good!
In Junior high we had in school suspension were they had you in the front office all day. I had more than a few, and sometimes they would stick me in the windowless teacher's meeting room.and I just slept until the sixth grade teachers needed the room.
Whether or not an american school has security really depends on it's location, for example, in florida, yeah, its florida, of course you will. In maryland, not so much except for baltimore.
In my school it's go the main office, wait for like 2 hours for the vice principal to finish their meeting, get the vice principal to tell you what you did wasn't fine, like no shit Sherlock that's why I'm here, and spend the rest of the day working at a desk in the principals office. I would honestly rather get hit by a belt 5 times than to work at the principals office, thankfully I never got punished like that but I got close once.
I got an in school suspension because I brought the script of a south park episode to a Christian school.
Suspended for brining 'Pornographic Literature'
Connor climbed a tree wait wtf
i remember in 5th grade my teacher made me hold books while t posing for an hour and bruh i was crying lmaooooo. He was the best teacher tho looking back on it 10 years later
ok wtf... so they are ages older than me who has graduated highschool but at their time of school there was already no more physical punishment?? Im in an Asian country and we would get beated with a long straw stick called rotan for simply not doing homework or being loud and some worse case scenarios in my primary school which was a well established one where we paid a good amount every month to study, once a student stole something the teacher took a chair threw it at a student then loosen the head of a broom (the brush area) and used the stick we normally hold on to when sweeping to whoop the student's ass as a punishment in front of the whole class. wtf is wrong with my Malaysia. Garnt is Thailand and also in asian culture so why is it different. The teachers here some I expect to have anger management issues cause when they get pissed they would down right make sure tears would come out and scars would remain (no joke).
Are you sure guys from the UK keeping high school? Pretty people in the UK call it secondary school.
I'm from the UK and I call it high school
most people call it secondary they only say high school in Scotland
Scottish person here. We say high school. I’ve only heard politicians and governments in the back to school ads call it secondary school honestly.

Wait American schools actually have Metal detectors?
The actual fuck is wrong with the US?
I have only ever heard of metal detectors in the bigger schools. Think anything in Los Angeles or an extra shitty suburb in W.A D.C. Otherwise (and I moved schools a lot in bad to middling neighborhoods and have had kids go through many different schools) no one dealt with backpack searches, guards, or metal detectors anywhere. They have an anti theft system near the textbook storage room in some schools but that's about it.
Im that kind of friend too, its not that we are not friend anymore but to me, our friendship is more than needing to communicate everyday/week. I usually chat to check on my friend every 2 months and sometimes once a year. But we are still friends and if we were to met up, I could still act like it was just yesterday that we last met.
I get that but this is a lot more than that 😂
Yeh but this is a bit different tbh.
Honestly same. I kinda feel like an ass for not being more connected to them, but when we do hang out I'll be the most talkative one there. It's not that I hate being with them, I'm just not into the constant messaging thing. I kinda just want to be in my own bubble. Hard to explain, but that's how I feel.
Honestly same man
@@marbollsmb3116 I feel you I’m not a big fan of the constant messaging thing but this is different
If we forgot to write our names on our homework assignments or tests, my teacher would force us to repeatedly write our names during recess. It eventually became a competition between us guys and I got pretty high. In 30 minutes, I wrote my name over 1000 times. Some other kid got a higher score than me, though.
Punishment speedrun any %? Sounds interesting I guess?
That's writing your name 1.8 times per second. You must have a short name.

The final story reminds me of when my brother was getting bullied and the school was doing nothing. So my dad made a deal with my brother.
Wait two days and my dad is called into the principals office because my brother had punched his bully in the nose. Dad doesn't even sit down he just looks at the principal and says "Because of your incompetence I now owe my son a milkshake. I'm not going to punish him because he stood up for himself in a system where he wasn't being supported." Then he left brother in tow off to get him a milkshake with the principal dumbfounded.

Rare dad right there
At my high school, if anyone got into a fight all people involved were automatically suspended. Even if it was self defense, the staff didn't give a shit. I had the same conversation with my parents and they 100% agreed that they would rather me defend myself than not fight back even if I got suspended.
Be honest, as a kid who thought that teachers only existed in school and thought they don't have lives outside of school?
Up until the Third grade, I thought teachers lived in school and slept in the classrooms.
I had after school programs so I knew my teachers just drove off to their own homes when I was still at school myself. I did feel bad for teachers that couldn’t control their students though they are people too
I lived on an island of 2000 people so I lived 30 second to 3 minute walking distance from 2 of the teachers so we saw them walk their dogs and such. It was awkward to have them randomly pop quiz if you did your homework :p
💀💀💀
One of my parents was a teacher, so I never believed in that myth
I lose contact with a lot of people because I hate small talk, the idea of making small talk terrifies me. So unless I can communicate with you through memes, we'll probably lose contact. Doesn't mean I want to cut people off or hate them, I'm just really bad a socializing
Same here bro
6:00 it really depends what school, one security guard is normal everywhere but you can tell how bad the school is depending on how many guards there are and also the bigger the school the more security they have, some schools even have their own security departments cause of how big they are
It all depends. I live in a rural county. All of our schools, including the local community college have maybe two security guards max at a time.
My highschool got a shit ton of guard, idk why fights rarely happen.in my 4 years,i only heared about 7 rights that happened
There like guards 8 at the front desk and like 4 guards every floor.
Back in the day our school had a couple of plainclothes cops who were there I guess to catch the potheads or something like that nut every one knew they were cops. This was when we had fewer school shootings.
I live in the Netherlands, and I don't think our middle school has security. Maybe at most some cameras that were monitored by some receptionist or something, if they were monitored at all. If a fight broke out, usually the janitor or a teacher came to stop them
@@robinchen5458 my highschool only has 800ish people and we’ve got no security
I went to a "good Christian school" so you would get punished over the smallest thing (asking someone in class if you could borrow a pencil, asking to go and get a drink during class, etc.), and they would always email home to parents over it. Worst part is that most of the time teachers would just write students up because they felt like it and it got to a point that if a couple of my teachers wrote me up my parents just didn't give a shit because they were known in the community to do that.
That sucks
That's disgusting. So many schools are out of control and are on a literal power trip with their rules. There really needs to be some sort of organization to oversee all schools and make the staff act better.
bro pretty sure thats just called the superintendent of the school district
@@hughjanos3992 No that is not what I am talking about. Obviously individual school districts are not doing enough to stop the abuse of power at schools. I am talking about a massive national organization that has control over all schools and actually ensures that they are not being abusive and unfair because a ton of schools are.
Cuz sharing things is communism and communism is the work of the devil 😤😤

as an american student, i just gotta let y'all know, most schools don't have the prison level security you spoke of. none that i went to.
It's more common in the absolutely gigantic schools in big cities.
ya I had a ID system no one cared about and a single cop
my middle school didn’t have a metal detector but we did have a cop
My high school had a strict ID policy and a police station integrated in the school with like 6 cops on duty. Granted my high school had like 3500 kids when I was there, but still kinda prison-like
I was told to write the entire constitution by my history teacher when I showed up late to class due to a bad stomach. The plus side is that it was test review day so I didn’t ever need to be called on lmao
My high school had one local police officer that was always assigned to the school, which I think is reasonable considering there were a lot of students there, I think around 4000 by the time I graduated
Now, that's a lot.😂😂
Yeah we had one too, it was never for any really serious offences, the just came in to give presentations on fireworks around Halloween time because the kids in my town are notorious for messing around with dangerous fireworks, they even gave a presentation in 2016 when the Killer Clown thing happened
Damn, tbh, I was that guy
But, I do wish I actually made an effort like he did and told them

Hey I got expelled for taking the bus to school.
There ain't anything weirder than that.
That is the weirdest thing i ever heard.
I've done push up, squat, running on track while holding chemistry book on my head as punishment, but expelled for taking bus kinda extreme. Did you ever question why?
W-wha? How??? 🤨

@@ivanjefferson4921 I was told later on in the week by a police officer. Apparently the one annoying girl no one liked said that I said I would kill her.
By the time I was allowed to return to school 2 months later, that story had changed to She had a dream in which someone who looked like me said they would kill her.
Kid's are weird. But the principal did hate me & bully me a lot so I wasn't surprised by her bullshit. I just enjoyed my time a home and somehow managed to get ahead of the class anyway. Also had fun with the police while I was in their care to see if there was any potential danger.
I remember I got a week's suspension for making a little light-hearted joke at someone else's expense. They took the joke too seriously, and ended kicking me in the face with their boot and only got a few days of community service. This is because the school had "zero tolerance" towards bullying, unless it's an assistant principal insulting a female student, or if it's a science teacher angrily telling the special eds class to sthu. Then it's completely fine.
Well I get what u are saying but u have to be careful about to whom u tell jokes, just fyi everyone in this world is twitter user with anime profile so just be a little careful, speaking from experience btw (got into a huge fight with another section when I was a 5th grader cuz I made a joke that he's gay and it was not fun everyone got suspended for one and a half week and so many injuries)
What u said ?
I was pretty well behaved in school, but there was a time when I tried to trip my assistant teacher with my chair (It happened before and I thought it was hilarious) and had to sit in front of the class. I started crying immediately.
It seems funny but karma is b
Whoa, that's rough
Actually fighting back in school had a good reward for me. They didnt bother me anymore.
Wait, I though metal detectors at schools were a meme
no some schools have them in the us- they’re more common at schools in low income areas / with higher rates of crime tho
It's only a thing where they have literal guns being carried into schools. It's not a LoW iNcOmE aReA thing only, it's just a matter of is there a real threat of violence/gangs/weapons/harm. Those schools become like a police state but that's the rare ultra violent like top 1% worst schools, probably less than even that. If one shooting happened there that would be their band-aid "solution" that's my guess as to how they even get the funding cause schools are underbudgeted.
That story connor brought about his friend was like done with them after highschool is kinda like me it got me burst out of laughing
Story from my high-school after I left, a load of older guys beat the shit out of a girl that was like 2 years below for like no reason, yeah that was fun to hear about
The man in the begging is like a child. Say whats he thinks..true chad power
When I was in 2nd grade, I pulled this little boys pants down in front of a bunch of girls, I really didnt know any better, and feel horible for doing it, but the wierdest thing is they called my mother down to the school and gave her the paddle, and they made her paddle me in front of the principle and another teacher.
wtf lol
That sounds like the premise to a really weird Milf Doujin.
I always get so shocked when I hear about other countries' schools! Here any type of punishment (physical or other) is not allowed and teachers could lose their right to teach if they do it....

Same. Usually where I'm from, we get public humiliation as a form of punishment.
I went to school In a small town in an average sized town in Ohio and we only had one cop and police car parked outside the entrance as security as it was meant to scare scratchy ppl out. I've only heard legands of metal detactors in schools. I promise security like this is not common in the US
It's really not especially in most rural counties like where I live. DOE schools in my area have only one (sometimes 2) security guards at a time and the local community college has only one to two security guards at time. At my old high school a local police officer would maybe stop by every once in a while as part of his patrol routine.
In elementary school a few of my friends and i got detention during recess for a week and the teacher thought we should still get our exercise, so she made us all jump rope out in the hallway for a week during recess as a punishment...

6:14, unfortunately because of how readily guns are available here in America we've grown to expect our schools to have some sort of security. When I was in high school we had unarmed school security guards that guard the entrance and patrol the school. After the Sandy Hook shooting, township police officers were added to the school security along with the school guards.
That is so sad that y'all have to go through this and STILL till this your goverment is having debate whether they should protect people's lives or reduce/remove the main treat to people's lives.
@@icepenguin7278 You are literally a part of the problem. Those people should not have died to mindless violence. Also schools should not have to treat their kids as though they are on the battle field waiting for the enemy to strike.
the closest thing to punishment I got was when a teacher told me to leave my stuff and leave the room, so I picked up my stuff and leave
8:18 that was called isolation in my school
Craner rly hats grant
I had that kind of 'friend' in high school. We were a small group, nerds and nerdy hobbies, though not really bullied for it (we were willing to push back, so we think they didn't see us as easy marks). One guy in our group was someone who we goofed off with in school, and even protected him and calmed him down when he was about to make dumb decisions. We always tried to invite him to things outside of school, but he never went along with it. During the summer before our senior year, one of my friends invited him along again, and when he said no, my friend asked him why he never wanted to hang out. His response: "I'm fine knowing you guys in school, but outside of school, I want nothing to do with you. We're not friends."
End result was all of us not speaking to him anymore, him becoming more and more alone and angry with no one to calm him down. This led up to two incidents, the first when someone threw a skittle at him across the cafeteria and he threw a chair back at them, and the second when he randomly blew up at a student in class for asking him, I believe, for a pen, to which he started yelling at him, called him the hard n-word (they were both white, though doesn't matter, as again, hard usage), and stormed out of the classroom. When a teacher tried to stop him, he blew up at them, and let them know he wanted nothing to do with the school. He was put on suspension, and allowed to take the rest of his senior year classes from home, which were several months. He didn't show up for graduation either. Worse was everyone was looking at us and asking us about him, which we had to tell them what happened last summer.
Dude seriously just hated that school for no reason. He wasn't bullied, he wasn't ostracized, he just hated everything to do with it, and used us as shields to avoid consequences for acting like a douche. Haven't bothered trying to ever follow up or see what he's up to because...well, why would I? Guy could be in jail and the most I could muster is, "That tracks."
To be fair I didn't even think about the security point haha. Went to school in the UK and never even thought wait why isn't there security here haha. Most people didn't wanna do anything too bad because they knew they couldn't handle the teacher let alone a security guard, it's so weird to think of American students just thinking security and surveillance is the norm haha. It's a building full of 12 year olds it's so sad we've gotten to the point where we need alot of security and bullet proof panic rooms just for ten year olds haha
I live in the capital of one of the fastest growing states/cities in the US and have done contract work with about a dozen schools in 6 districts. Not a one has metal detectors. At the most I've seen a staffing of ~7 security guards & ~3 officers working in every other day kind of shifts of 3 guards & 1 officer at a time (1/2 day shifts for all but 1 guard who stayed all day). This school had ~2500 kids, medium sized in the district, it was my own HS I graduated from. [Don't ask why I knew so much about the guards work days lolz]
As a swede it's weird that americans can't call their teachers by their first names
I do that alot with coworkers. I will work with you, talk to you during breaks and lunch but we Will never hangout or make any plans. Even with the girls I flirt with you. By the next day it will be as if we are complete stranger!....
I mean we don’t have guns like Americans do either here but instead we had a kid walk into a Highschool with an axe and killed 2 teachers. And in my first day of highschool a kid ran into our school escaping from other guys and got stabbed on the steps in the foyer. I feel like schools should have security even if they don’t have the 2nd Amendment laws
i got a school in my country where they suspend you for anything.......literally anything, one of my friends from that school got suspended for bringing his phone in
Honestly I love my homies from schooll... but the fact that talking will remind me of the grime times of scholl... make me not wanna see them
I just realized I live in a small town. I thought meeting your teachers in the street was absolutely normal like I still meet teachers who taught me 7 years ago
Garnt before any cut in trash taste: "aight I gotta piss"
Our school had like a full one hour detention after hours where you'd have to stay after school and sit in silence on your own for an hour, its weird to think their worst punishment was just to look at a wall for a few minutes haha
In the 5th grade, I was given no recess for a whole month for not turning in my homework.
A weird way I was punished is the administration doing nothing to the guy who grabbed my crotch on multiple occasions 🙃

I was a good kid in high school, never made any drama or problem. But one time i decided to ditch drama class bcs I had something else I wanted to do and I got punished. Funny thing is, I have a friend who almost always ditched the same class and she NEVER got into any trouble. It was such bs.

At my old middle school. My sister got punished for defending herself from a bully who was trying to kick her ass. The higher ups told us to...okay get this "LET THE BULLY BEAT HER UP and DO NOTHING. IF you fight back you're getting the same punishment as the bully"
AH they didn't take in accounted my mom went full Karen mode 100x fold to proceed to raise hell in the office. Even after it was all well and done. My sis told me that the bully had friends and said "We are gonna kick your ass once you enter highschool"
HAHA it's a good thing we moved out of that Hilly Billy of a town before she entered Highschool.
Lmao stand in the corner happened in The Netherlands too so sometimes when someone misbehaved we’d jokingly say “Go stand in the corner!”
We had to stand facing the wall for 30 minutes but if you doubled up on detention, it'd be an hour for being late. It was called JUG (Justice Under God) so you can assume where I went lol
Loved hearing about the differences between schools in the UK and America. Although as an American, I cannot deny we live in fear in our own country. Not even our schools feel safe all the time. Every day before school started my schools' teachers would be at all the entrances and check our dress code and backpacks. We had to have these ID badges and wear it on a lanyard every day, all day. One would get in trouble if they didn't. Not to mention our backpacks had to be these plastic clear backpacks because kids have snuck in weapons and drugs into school before. Also 90% of student of judgmental asf. Even over the pettiest of things some kid would always throw hands and start fights. I hope university will be better! :D
