The first star I see may not be a star We can't do a thing but wait So let's wait for one more And the time, such clumsy time In deciding if it's time I'm careful but not sure how it goes You can lose yourself in your courage When the time we have now ends When the big hand goes round again Can you still feel the butterflies? Can you still hear the last goodnight? And the mindless comfort grows When I'm alone with my 'great' plans And this is what she says gets her through it "If I don't let myself be happy now, then when? If not now, when?" The time we have now ends And when the big hand goes round again Can you still feel the butterflies? Can you still hear the last goodnight? I close my eyes and believe Wherever you are, an angel for me When the time we have now ends And when the big hand goes round again Can you still feel the butterflies? Can you still hear the last goodnight?
Jim's capo is on the 2nd fret and he's tuned a full step down. notice at 2:51 he hits the open C#... with the capo on the 2nd fret that would have to mean the D string was tuned to a C.
I swear Jim can't sing more than two bars in one breath live. I love JEW, but their live shows have always bugged me because Jim spends more time trying to act like he's sooooo deeply into stuff - and in the process tossing aside musicianship - rather than balance it with a quality performance. He seriously pants his way through songs.
I first listened to this song with my girlfriend in 1999. 25 years later she's my wife and we still listen to it together
Why is this the greatest song I’ve ever heard?
My brother's song at his funeral. He was a huge fan.
Probably the greatest performance of this song, gives me chills every time I hear it.....and I've heard it a lot
This song still hits me hard after all of these years.
Bittersweet nostalgia
Clarity is the pinnacle of Jimmy Eat World.
Definitely one of the best songs they’ve written.
Still cry to this song , so freaking beautiful !! This bandddd!! Omg how did I ever lived without them ?
No band but Jimmy Eat World can do this to your emotions...
...also, my face is wet because my ceiling is raining...
Probably the best song ever...
the best song of the best album ever released by the best band in the world.
For me THIS is heaven
3:05 - The moment Zach Lind realises how epic this performance is! :)

I fell in love to this song in 2005. How emo is that?!
I just cried, never watched this version before
This performance and the whole concert actually made me appreciate Clarity like I never did before.
Love it. Thanks for uploading.
Man that is one epic solo jim
Jim is incredible live. Have you seen them this year? He sounds better than ever.
he said to me dave would like to be here! he looked happy...wediscussed about songs and good meanings
Tq for the video..awesome
Jim is playing in standard capo 4th fret, and Tom is in Dropped-D
Do you know where I can get a decent tab for this that includes both guitar parts?
Andrew Wilde tip they always play open E tuning including just watch the fireworks and clarity.
They're both on Open E on this song, but Jim uses a capo on the 2nd fret.
@@kurdtjohn I found out years later a lot of their older songs are played in open E
2:37 Jimmy playing Marco Polo with himself is the most gangster shit I've seen in a while.
Jim's capo is on the 2nd fret and he's tuned a full step down. notice at 2:51 he hits the open C#... with the capo on the 2nd fret that would have to mean the D string was tuned to a C.
@xReikkonen no se comparan, Clarity es el mejor album de JEW.
Jesus Gomez knows about really good music.
Thank you
No camera man on the bassist I guess..
jimmy's les paul : )
0 dislikes omfg :D haha xD
what tuning does he use here? :O
