Finally they found a guy can hit that high notes. I almost cry when hear he made that last screaming as Skidrow always been my favourite band for years.
I was at this concert while I was in Vegas for my friends 21st bday. Them and the scorpions were amazing. So happy I got to see 2 bands that I grew up listening to from my parents music
True. He does an awesome job. Maybe even better than Bach himself in this day and age. But it's insane how high Bach actually could go. Nobody seems to be able to reach it. Not even Bach himself these days. But it just shows how one of a kind Bach and the Skid Row during that period actually was.
Best audio and video I've heard! I appreciate how he keeps it original with his flare! Great! As much I want 'Bas back This young fella is doing a great job. Lightning struck 2x here with Skid Row. Just my opinion

Same here. I actually couldn't stand his stage presents when I saw their 1st show. Today I decided to give him another shot and OMFG! This dude kicks ass. I'm glad I gave him a 2nd chance.
@@sharkair2839 Their new single is pretty decent. However Bach didn't write most of Skid Rows hits. The band did. Bach mostly just sang and contributed a little here and their.
Fantastic! NOW I'll go see this lineup! Singer killed it. I am very happy for them finding the frontman they need! Though my fave part is at the end when the couple starts fighting. :D Haha!
I've heard this man sing in H.E.A.T. since about 2011. It shouldn't surprise me at all Erik Gronwell is now Skid Rows frontman. He not only pulls it off but with ease.

However yes Skid Row found a great singer in Singer and now I think they found the perfect front man with Gronwell.
@@danadane2501 it was something about Bach making a decision at one of their concerts that went wrong because Bolan didn't agree with him. That's jealousy in my book. As the frontman, Bach had the right to call the shots and Bolan just couldn't get over it so they had a fallout and Bach went solo.

As matter of fact their debut record was already completely recorded and written before Bach even joined. I'm sure you're aware that original singer is/was Mathew Fallon. I admit, he is impressive in a mighty way. That being said, Bach was always regarded as an all time great front man given his demeanor and personality, not to mention how imposing he is. That part will always be tough to match. Case and point, look how the crowd responds to him when he gets up close and personal in some of the other videos compared to how they still do SB. Either way, this guy is phenomenal in his own right.
During the Three Kingdoms period in China, when Chu Du died, he said, "Heaven gave birth to Du, why was Luong born?" Today "God gave birth to Bach, why did he still give birth to Erik. Skid row is back and better than before. Thanks Erik
I'd normally say Skid Row or any other band without their original line up isn't the same but with Sebastian's attitude and shitty vocals this guy puts Skid Row up there as they were at in their prime. This front man is spot on with the vocals.
Started this thinking "No way he's Sebastian". He's not....but he's as good now as Sebastian was 30 years ago. The band found a hellava front man in 2022!!!
I have been waiting for someone to have been born into this world with an amazing natural high voice and then learn how to sing even higher by idolising Sebastian as he grew up singing these songs to then join Skid Row and be as good if not better than Sebastian ever was and revitalise these tired old guys and make them play better than they have for 25 years, this is awesome to see this happening I bet Sebastian is shaking in his boots, how must it feel to be Sebastian right now knowing someone is singing his songs better than he ever did and absolutely kicking ass and making him look like a real old has been. I hope this lights a fire under Mr Bach's ass and he gets himself in shape and works on getting his voice back to the way it was instead the horrible tone he sings with nowadays, Sebastian was brilliant back in the day don't get me wrong but it's been sad watching him deteriorate and become unrecognisable visually and vocally, I can't watch Sebastian sing nowadays as he is sadly disappointing and has lost what he once had.
I think Sebastian unknowingly taught this man how be him. He's perfect. A perfect vocal clone, but still really really amazing. The whole band lost 30 years and became themselves again! I miss Bach, but this IS awesome!
3 bands of the same genre (heavy metal/glam metal) from the 80/early 90's have an almost impossible task when it comes to trying to find anyone that can match the vocal abilities of their original lead singer, namely G&R's, Skid Row, and Stryper. It each of those cases they had lead singers that were so outrageous in the vocal abilities and range that when other people have tried to fill the shoes of the original, it ends up sounding more like a tribute band with session musicians filling in rather than the original band. If anything I guess it just serves as a reminder of just how great the original lead singer of each of those bands really were. Of course same can be said of many other bands of other genres as well such as rock/hard rock like Boston (Brad Delp), Queen (Freddie Mercury) etc but in those cases the singing style wasn't quite as extreme as in the case of later heavy metal/glam metal , and that does actually come in to play being that the signing styles of the 3 above mentioned bands (yeah I know G&R transitioned more towards hard rock) is that even if/when they can find someone that can come close to matching the range of the original singers, the replacement singer's vocal cords will be shredded in just a few road tours as in most cases they were already straining their vocal abilities to try to match the range/style of the original lead singer. I've seen it happen many times.
I remember when Journey decided to give Arnel the opportunity to sing for them. They sent him to a vocal specialist to make sure he was singing properly and would be able to sing for years to come with multiple shows in a row. I hope Skid Row did the same for this guy. He's got a great voice and really embodies the original sound and feel of Skid Row. Hopefully he can last for a good long time without destroying his voice. Oh, and that solo during "I Remember You" was pure perfection.
Erik have been singing like this since he was in Idol 2009 in Sweden, havent followed his stuff with HEAT and New Horizon but my guess is that everything is fine in that department.
He is singing those highs and with such power for many years now (his former band H.E.A.T had at least equally demanding songs). Plus, he already mentioned a few times he is working with a vocal coach for quite some time. So I‘m sure he will last a long time if they let him.
