AI is just an extension of our cognitive abilities like a telescope or microscope enhances our vision etc. With so much information disseminated every second in this digital world, churning that info into meaningful context is what AI does (upon our will). At core, its really a complex mathematical wonder. Human conscious (or soul) is beyond our current physical understanding of the universe.
