This is best way for understanding RCU/WCU. I was watching course from udemy(stefane) but I have to do RUclips to understand this. I’ve searched multiple video in different tabs, your is first video, now I’ve closed other tabs as this video is sufficient
Started studying AWS from Jan, 01st and this video is of great help. Appreciate your patience and detailed explanation. Thank you! madam, please continue this good work. Have just subscribed to your tutorials.
Seriously it was so much confusing to me while I was calculating these before I watched this video. But after seeing this video it is now much simple and you really saved my time. Good work. Keep it up. Appreciate your time for this.
Namrata, you have outstanding explanation skills. I was struggling to understand this concept and this video made it super clear. Subscribed to the channel. Thanks again!
An alternative approach for calculating an Eventually Consistent RCU is to divide it by 8. For example for item size 10KB, the nearest to 4KB is 12KB, 12/8 = 1.5
Thank you very much Namrataji! Quite informative video for me, specifically at such a time when I need to decide on which pricing method to be chosen for DynamoDB, which I am using as a back-end data for my newly developed app.
This is a great video, can you help me to calculate read and write capacity assuming I have simple dynamodb table with three column (two string type and one numeric type)
1. could you give tutorial of user creation and assigning privileges in dynamodb 2. could you give tutorial of PITR in dynamodb if you have already given tutorial please share the link
dynamoDb provisioned vs onDemand pricing is silly and a waist of time. Simply avoid dynamoDb because it is just too complicated to get the costing right and not worth the headache.
Thanks to your exceptional lecture I finally understand how to calculate the RCU/WCU for DynamoDB. 👍👍
i was scratching my head for an assignment this explanation is exceptional
Glad it helped
