Thank you for this video! I'm not a topstitching person as I always found my stitching wonky. I've recently got Pfaff Quilt Expression 720 (mostly for quilting) and boy was it worth watching your video to the end! I'm definietly getting that foot! :)
Thank you for this video . Yes invisible zipper feet are not normally included with sewing machines, just the normal zipper foot . Some brands make very expensive feet indeed ! I will now check all my sewing machine feet and try them out as I hardly use them all ! This video has motivated me ! Tks x
Well that has explained the feet I have but had no idea what they were used for! That top stitch foot is amazing. The word you were searching for was ‘ridge’. I always enjoy your videos and explanations. Thank you.
Thank you. I don't have a 720 but another Pfaff model. I enjoyed the explanation of the various feet and I have many of them except that bi-level one, did not know it was an option, I will need to go buy that one. I also own a Bernina and the feet are even more expensive.
I use these feet also with a Pfaff smart and also with another much much older Pfaff, which is nice, saves some money :) I never used a Bernina, actually, the high price for the accessories kept me away from it as I know I like to have " extras" :) .
Thanks for this information. I think I need the new zipper foot. I’ve always used my stitch in the ditch foot for top stitching which is fantastic for a single row but is limited in width for a double row, so may get the new foot 😄
Wow! Thank you for sharing. I have this machine and love it! I’m off to buy the top stitching foot that is excellent. I also found the automatic button whole foot hard to push the cable up. It’s fiddly but works a treat when all set
🙂You are going to love that bi-level foot, it is really incredible! And yes about the automatic buttonhole foot, I found it so frustrating in the beginning.
A great tutorial, but the quarter inch foot in metal is not included in the machine, I had to buy it separately around 2 years ago. It guarantees a nice exact 1/4-seam. Can you make a tutorial on free motion qulting? I'm having problems with the upper thread breaking, it kind of unravels. I tested another needle, another thicker thread, used quality thread from Gütermann, changed the upper tension, but it always breaks. Would appreciate a tip very much for the 720! Thank you so much in advance! ❤
I am so sorry, but I can not make a tutorial as I sold my Paff 720 and upgraded to an embroidery machine. It is true, the quarter inch foot is a very useful foot.
I don't have this machine anymore, as ai updated to an embroidery/ sewing. I do know that it doesn't have an automatic needle threader. The needle position can be adjusted from the menu
Hey! Thanks a lot for such an informative video. Are you living in Germany? I've noticed the name of the official distributor on one of the presser foot's package (Nähwelt Flach). I have just ordered the Pfaff 720 Quilt Expression from them ;) If it is your case as well, would it be possible to know how good is Nähwelt Flach in terms of the after-sales service. Thanks a lot!
Oh, you are going to love your new machine, I am sure! Yes, I do live in Germany. From this company, I only ordered some presser feet , so I can’t provide more info on their service. Enjoy your machine!

I love and hate this Machine😭 Its a high qualiti Machine with an horrible straight Stich for topstiching a Desaster I tryed everything even when everything ist matched Like needle /yarn/farbric the Stich isnt straight 😭😭😭Last year i bought a janome hd9 and im so Happy with my Division✌️a perfekt Stich! Before i bought the Pfaff qe720 i Had a Pfaff smart Modell and even this Machine do a much better Job in straight stiching ....why i love the Pfaff,it is a nice Machine for decorative stiching and Pfaff technics are nice to have😍and good price too
I hate when machines don´t deliver what they are expected to deliver. I am happy with the stitch quality on mine. I know that a straight stitch only machine will always deliver much better straight stitch quality than a sewing machine that also does zig-zag stitches so I believe you are totally right about the Janome HD9, but is good that you have both for different needs 🙂🤩
Bilevel is fantastic for machine bindings. Speeds it up so much
It really is!

Happy sewing on your 720, great machine! Love that foot, I use it a lot!
I move my needle to get closer to the zipper when I use the Pfaff zipper foot

😁 I think I will buy the Right version of the topstitching foot, I try to convince myself that I don't need it🤣
Thanks. The Bi-level foot is exactly what I need right now. I was going to use the blind foot foot which can work fairly well.
It is a really nice one! I might get the "right" orientation too, just in case :)

Thanks for your video, does this machine have an automatic needle threader? And also the positioning of the needle isn’t automatic?
