Thanks for the solid advice. I’ve gotta 2 month old daughter (my first child) I’m about to come home from deployment and meet for the first time. I’ve been watching a lot of these videos, because I feel like I’m behind the curve on learning what to do as a parent/dad. So yeah, just wanted to thank you, your videos have helped me feel better about coming home.. I’ll definitely like and share your vids man.

I 100% agree with the first one!if we keep doing little things for kids they'll never learn to be self sufficient. we never want to underestimate our kids they can do more than we think even as little babies. it's funny bc when I was young my mom always had do our own stuff. pick up, we sis our school projects etc. As we got older we had more responsibilities. I won't lie as Teens we struggled a bit with those tasks like getting up for school or taking the bus ( tho to be fair, there was some bullying in those situations.) but once dad stepped in we got back in line. Nowadays I see it everywhere to the point where some kids are kist plain bossy. Carry this! where's my lunch?! Take me here! and I am jsut floored by it. if we don't teach our kids how to be self sufficient and these generations will just keep getting worse. I also agree with 2. yelling too much. back to my childhood, if we were misbehaving the first thing was to usually get yelled at whether big or smal and I worry about that fi that's the typ of parent I'll be bc that was natural instinct in my house. I dont want tomea, hollering parent where my kid wont wanna come to me but there needs to be rules set and they need to know I mean it. so icant really hope to apple those tips about focusing on the positive reinforcement. bc I can easily can get very negative and I dont want to be that way
