@@chinchepunta Yeah, I knew the odds were against the little critter. But they were against me, too, and I'm here somehow. @@chinchepunta Yeah, the problem with me is that it wasn't detected when I was a baby (part of a long, long list of things that were missed that I'm only now, as an adult, getting diagnosed and treated), so they didn't put in a shunt (the drainage thing you mentioned). Apparently, it compensated (ie, the blockage somehow resolved on its own, or carved out a new drainage channel and the fluid stopped building up), so the giant holes (the enlarged ventricles) stopped applying pressure on my brain, but never shrank back to a normal size. Parts of my brain are basically squished against my skull. I pretty much have more ventricle than brain at this point. 😂 I've seen the MRIs and the back right quarter of my brain in particular (where the most enlarged ventricle is) is almost nonexistent because it's been so compressed outward against my skull by the built up cerebrospinal fluid enlarging the ventricle. It's pretty trippy. Between that and my partial agenesis (ie, incomplete development) of the corpus callosum (the bit that connects the left and right hemispheres), my neurologists say that I've probably developed a bunch of 'back roads' and other ways of getting different parts of my brain to pick up the slack for the bits that are missing. This is apparently why my intellectual capacities don't seem to be as affected as you would expect to see in someone with either untreated hydrocephalus or (partial, in my case) agenesis of the corpus callosum, never mind both. But now they think the fluid may be building up again for some reason, so I have to have a hole poked through my skull so they can stick some kind of probe in to test the pressure and decide whether they'll need to put in a shunt NOW. Fun times! Anyway, to return to the topic of the little snake, I know his/her enlarged head was likely not due to the same cause (I don't know if snakes can get hydrocephalus or not), but the similar result (enlarged head) and similar low survival rate (untreated, I mean) is what struck a chord with me.

the ball of snake in the top-right is all one snake, it just fades from the light orange & white colors to the black and gray like it's siblings towards the tail and it makes it LOOK like two baby snakes at first glance: you can see it doesn't move at all until Emily picks it up and then it uncoils, and you can see the color gradient
Princess Bride reference!!!!!! Still one of my favourite movies ever. Looking at the comments, no one else has caught it yet... how?? Wait... does this mean I'm old? ARE WE OLD?! Welcome to the world little noodles!
When you put the babies in the baby bins.. are you sure there were 3? It looks like 4. But the baby was lost when you showed us the babies-when you realized you lost it. You had 10 at first, and what looked to be 2 In the corner not really moving. Then they got rustled up and I think one must have slipped when there was chaos. But there were definitely 10 when you first opened the bin!!
I counted the opening of the bin multiple times and only found 9 baby snakes, though the ones in the corners are hard to see I remember seeing the same baby snakes at the start and end of the video so the lost baby definitely escaped prior to opening the bin, at least on camera the one in the top right LOOKS like two baby snakes curled up together, but you don't see it move until Emily picks it up, and you can see the gradient where the tail turns from white & orange to black & gray like the rest of the babies
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, and I love them!! Your videos are informative and entertaining! I was curious though, how do you keep track of feeding all of your snakes and making sure they are all eating properly? Have a great day/night!! :)

I love the no scales ambre and polka dots scaless 💖 they are all beautiful 😍
When you put the babies in the baby bins.. are you sure there were 3? It looks like 4. But the baby was lost when you showed us the babies-when you realized you lost it. You had 10 at first, and what looked to be 2 In the corner not really moving. Then they got rustled up and I think one must have slipped when there was chaos. But there were definitely 10 when you first opened the bin!!
8:34 I counted 10, too.
I counted the opening of the bin multiple times and only found 9 baby snakes, though the ones in the corners are hard to see I remember seeing the same baby snakes at the start and end of the video so the lost baby definitely escaped prior to opening the bin, at least on camera
the one in the top right LOOKS like two baby snakes curled up together, but you don't see it move until Emily picks it up, and you can see the gradient where the tail turns from white & orange to black & gray like the rest of the babies
@@fluffyfeathers2124 oh ok! Thank you!
I love these babies! They're so cute and wriggly!
thank you guys for posting and entertaining us! I Love every part! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
The one at 11:38 has a really sick skull on its head. I love him/her ❤
i love how you guys ask “pls dont eat me” as of they actually could 😂
Em pulling the shedding of that baby was SO satisfying! 😌
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, and I love them!! Your videos are informative and entertaining! I was curious though, how do you keep track of feeding all of your snakes and making sure they are all eating properly? Have a great day/night!! :)
at 12:01, the darker one's head stamp looks like the shadow of the Ink Demon from the new Bendy game xD
I would love to see, if and how the colors of these change over time when they grow.
Wow what a beautiful looking clutch! Head stamps n all ♡ gorgeous 😍 hope they all are ok!
I love hatching videos! And are you guys moving moving? If so RIP to the future owners for having to deal with rex's room 😂 I bet the gator smell lingers
Such a variety in the babies, and such cool markings and colors. I hope the little runt made it
The runt passed
Anyone else find it funny that it was the magic wand snake that disappeared?
Maybe he was still in the bin, he just turned invisible
*Runt baby left the game*
Wow. Scaleless ratcorn snakes are so weird looking without the scales! Hopefully the rest of your snakes clutches hatch!
I feel like you guys know when I’m having a bad day. So happy to see babies today ♥️
Yay I’m early for once, I always love the scaleless ones! (I’m a sucker for naked seeming animals like Sphinx cats lol)
Those babies are gorgeous!! I would definitely get one of these.
I wonder if you'll find the baby, let us know if you do! I love your videos
I've loved your channel for ages now, you inspired me to take the animal course my school offers for my GCSE's and I'm loving it!
I’m early, and yes it’s 1 am (where I am) but this is more important
Is it where I am it’s 4:58 pm
Interesting and cool vid. You guys forgot that those eggs were incubated in Shakria’s habitat and maybe the magic wand baby is in there.
Yes, I thought that too. Could Shakira eaten it?
Seeing the tiny eggs and the tiny snake, I'm wondering if dwarfism can also occur in snakes.
I only found something about "insular dwarfism".
beautiful baby's, hope you find that little guy.
Emily you guys were looking in the wrong place for the missing snake you took the incubator box out of the enclosure not the incubation fridge check the enclosure LOL
That tiny baby snake was a nice surprise, when eggs hatch you just never know what you're going to get. Hatching eggs is like opening up a Christmas present.
I really enjoyed seeing yall at NARBC it was life changing I loved it I hope you guys liked the signs I brought ❤️
Was it the STL one?
Hmmm the STL one was my favorite
Where is NARBC at every year ?
@@shereewilliams2255 it's a different places at different times of the year. For example it's two times a year in St Louis, in March I think and last weekend
Yeah it was the st.louis one it was this passed weekend as in Saturday and Sunday 12/13
I can’t wait to watch! I remeber when she laid and u where out of incubator space and you added the transportation drawings!
Oh jeeze, I hope the runt wasn't accidentally collected with the egg shells! Adorable babies
I’m glad y’all still help them, poor baby’s don’t deserve to die
I thought the wings were a moustache... and was confused as to how someone could fly with a moustache
At 11:40, the one with "just a couple dots on its head" - ITS A SKULL!!! 💀🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰💀
Hopefully we get an update on the missing snake
I would deep clean/search Shakira's cage!! I might be wrong with where they were and the timeline but it might be where the missing snake is!
After a totally rubbish day this was just what I needed yous are the best ❤️
I hope your day gets better
@@kristajones7202 thank you 😊
@@charliemum Very welcome
These are the cutest snakes ever
My BEL ball is scaleless, but is only missing what I call his unicorm scale. A single on in the middle of his head. It turned out that if the snake has one ventral scale, they're not, but twp ventral scales means they are scaleless, and little man has two! The breeder even gave us a discount for him not having all of his scales, I told him that next time he should advertise scaleless so he may be able to ask for more money next time it happens, not less haha.
I'm so happy that you reposted another video you made me feel less scared of snakes try so much
Awe! Poor little dude with the deformalities. Hope he survives if it's what is best for him! I also hope you found the other missing snake! Must be stressful knowing he escaped some place. Maybe got into one of the creases in the fridge/incubator? Would he be able to get in there?
It passed away
@@LPSDevon26 yeah. Poor thing. 😞
The orange ones are gorgeous.
