The rarely used authentic baroque theatre in the Krumlov Castle is the setting for this performance. There are only two baroque theatres left in Europe - here and in Sweden.

Nice. I only know of one more 18th c. Opera house still working. It is Drottningholm castle opera outside Stockholm but In mint condition! They mostly burned down.

Does this theater still host performances? I can't find any information on performances--only on tours.

Hi Madelaine,
I'm fortunate to travel there with my tour groups (I own OneLifeTours.ca) and happened to be there on a night when they were using the theatre for a performance. It is very rare though, and I don't know how well known it was outside of the town. Everyone there except us seemed to be a local.

How hopeless from the point of "pantomime" and forced combination of Vivaldi´s music to what should be "commedia dell´arte, white wigs are also immpossible with a beard and out of style with the time of Vivaldi, an example of misusing this fantastic theatre...!!!
