- There is another copy of this video on RUclips already, but, since that was ripped from my original page in the first place, I have no trouble uploading it once again.. as it seems many Badu-fans return to my other video of her at the dutch North Sea Jazz festival of 2001, and I'm sure y'all like to watch it in somewhat better quality than the rip that is out there. So, enjoy! Peace.
'you wont be naming no buildings after me'... this hits different after all the statues getting torn down. Erykah doesnt need her talents to be memorialised by some monument, she just needs the music and the moment. <3
R.I.P Amadou Diallo✊🏿💘
Erykah badu mastered the art of music
i heard this song got the on LSD when i was in high school and i can't not listen to this song and feel clarity
oh my god she's so surreal, i'm totally in love with her and her art
At the North Sea Jazz Festival 2001; I was there. One of the greatest shows I've been to. Thanks for uploading.
When you're one with the music...this all just comes together. So Unreal
That 3 part harmony....... soul stealing
I love this song on so many levels: Its message, vocals, instruments and overall presentation. So smooth. So passionate. So mellow. The first time I heard this song, my mind immediately recalled the ground breakings, grand openings, renamings of buildings, centers, streets, etc. as an honorable memorial to some person or cause then watched those entities deteriorate from neglect, weather and disrespect over time. In some cases, the structures were eventually demolished -- that person's name going down with it -- and no replacement memorial. At age 74, I've experienced this scenario more times than I care to remember from Ohio, to New York, to Florida, to Georgia. So... 'no you won't be naming no buildings after me to go down dilapidated - - surely'. Establish living, lasting memorials that give and keep on giving.
Is she really playing the guitar?

This is a whole vibe👍🏽🎶
Perfection...Love This Song 🎶🎼🎵🎙👑👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I actually seen her in concert a few months ago she truly is amazing and her beautiful voice is even more beautiful in person
The sexiest leg in the world.
Wouldn't it be just fabulous to have a daughter like Ms Badu!!!
In light of the tragedy that occurred in Surfside Florida, the lyrics to this song seem ever more real...
damn this is beautiful ... love this song
I saw the St. Louis leg of this tour. Aliyahh was actually killed in that plane crash either right before or possibly sometime during that show. But, there was no internet connection on cell phones back then, as far as I know. So, I assume most of the people there didn’t find out until after the show, which was pretty memorable.
