as a kid the place was a fraction of its size now. My father sent plenty of photos of the place, and now i finally get to go, bit different with all the development though was interested to take a horse into town like in the westerns. this was 1980s now its amazing to see. they grew alot in a very short time.

December I have family that lives there. Mezquital specifically and Mazatlán. It was a fraction of what it was, back then. Durango was the place you had to go to do your business, or get supplies and things for the house. roads was very bad you needed a Real 4x4 Truck or a sure footed Mule to get up in those mountains 1980s @@TheTwoTravelersInMexico

Hello, Marc and Paulette! This is a truly great video... awesome videography, pleasant humor, and beautiful streetscapes and views. I loved the Paseo las Alamedas and the Museo de Pancho Villa, but Victoria de Durango looks charming everywhere!
Inside the Mercado Francisco Palacio Gomez there is a food stand named 'Comedor Las Margaritas' which is the go-to for the other Durango specialty of Tacos de Alacran... scorpion tacos... did you have the courage to try them? The Caldillo Durangueno that Paulette had was Pancho Villa's favorite dish and it's made with a special Chile Pasado which can only be found in the state of Durango.
I worked with a woman whose dad was from Durango and she raved about the place. I know it's hot there but didn't know it also gets humid. You may know that SLP and Durango are Tao of David's two favorite cities in MX. Seeing his videos and now yours, I would love to visit Durango! Thanks for the lovely video!

The Durango-Mazatlán highway opened a few years ago and makes it very easy to get between the two cities. There's a spectacular bridge, the Puente Baluarte, that's very popular with photographers. Almost all the tours to Durango from Mazatlán include the wild west town which isn't my cup of tea, so I just hopped a bus and wandered around town on my own for a couple of days when I visited. Did you take a tour there? You said you got there on a bus, but then later said you drove to the other places you visited. Thanks for the video!
