If that was an actual full propane cylinder he would have been a lot more concerned than that if it went off. I set one on fire and shot it and the explosion was about 30ft. by 30ft. With a rocketing junk of metal and fireball shooting about 50 to 60ft. Up in the sky. Way bigger than I thought.

That pump can handle up to 72v believe me. Its the same motor we use on lowriders. Good Cable and cable ends with proper connections and 48v should have no issues.

Hydraulic pumps like are meant to work in a second spurt most usually milliseconds at the toggle. The more juice the easier to weld a solenoid and burn out the motor. A ground bar under the seat to open the circuit in such an event.
Yeah and maybe try good batteries. Fires come from trying to get power when there's not enough. 48 fresh volts would move that thing around a bit quicker than this

I actually like his videos.... Especially on the new truck, what he does is very good marketing for the products used on that truck, showing how much it actually takes to cause damage to the aftermarket parts on it. I knew that lift was good but to take 48 volts to a hydraulic pump before it melted I was very impressed, and the safety's that amp added to their steps was sweet, I know when they first come out years ago they would have crushed that can but seems they finally added a pressure sensor stop to it...
I can't wait to see him test them fusion bumpers I have seen many different versions of the steel bumpers and I'm ready to see if they are what they are hyped up to be... Till next time man....have a good weekend

Take the hydraulic cylinder of a planter or disc and use them on the truck

Youd have to upsize the motor controlling the pressure - otherwise it would be stronger but slower

FYI, I used to have full hydraulics in my Buick Regal back in the low rider days with a TRUNK full of batteries hooked up in parallel. Anytime you increase voltage like that all you can do is tap, tap, tap to lift. Your setup appears to also use the motor to go down as well which is odd, usually just the weight of the vehicle is enough to drop it through the dumps.
Why do they not just drive these via engine power? Seems so much simpler to just add a pump with a clutch to the accessory belt. Have the pump clutch engage if in park and button pressed

@@Notyourphone. im sure he meant he had them hooked up in series lowriders may hook up a few batteries but no way they'd work properly with all the batteries in parallel I have 9 industrial batteries and only 4 of them are connected in parallel so out of 9 batteries im actually sending 7 to my front end so basically 2 very strong 12vs plus the other 5 in series so I have 84v to my front pump with a crap ton of amperage. So its both a boost of Voltage and amperage

The electrical was cut off at safety switch disconnect ...what worried me thou was using water to try to put out oil/grease fire ... lucky it was only a hot motor
@@justinberg5476 it still would of been fine . Our 2700 rwhp drag week cars popped back when we ran N2o before going to our f3-136 setup a few yrs ago. We had a rod hanging out the oil pan of a brodix block, oil run all over fire going and a high out put holley dominator efi ecu stand alone sitting there and nothing. The fire department will even tell you it's ok to spray it with water.

If you watched Streetspeeds channels you can tell that he actually take pride in owing this truck. I think he’s not gonna damage anything on this truck other then things he might plans on changing out in the future.
