It was the JOTC (Jungle Operations Training Center). In the mornings when the sun was rising, it was a bloody/Orange-ish red color at 5:45 a.m in the morning when were where loading into the Chinook choppers to head out on a mission (a parachute jump) in the mornings during training in the jungle; I was in the 82nd Airborne Division ...Anyhow I diverged. This song always came to my head during those days in my early 20's. ..... perhaps it was because I'm an 80's child who grew up listening to this song in L.A on KROQ radio station. ..... great memories..... great song.

I was elated, then they canceled. Told my dorm when I got there that INXS is coming out with their new album soon! Most of these guys were like INX what who? Was their best album by far hit wise. Then traveled later that year in 1988 and saw them in Spokane Washington where they were in concert on the KICK album tour.
As someone who was born in 1998, I’ve always wanted to be older, taken more seriously. Have more of an impact. Now at 24 I feel my youth finally slipping away and I don’t like it.

80’s was such a unique era for music, style and fashion. I joined the USAF in 1987 during the final years of the Reagan administration. Numerous songs and movies of that time had a doomsday theme as we were still in the Cold War. I will always remember the 80’s!

1982: I had begun a Receptionist job, the year before. In 2-1/2 years, upgraded to a Sales Secretary at the same company. Total time at the same job: 6-1/2 years, until I had job burnout. I remember hearing 80's songs on my car radio, driving two and from work. And twice daily, five days a week, driving to the Warehouse/Manufacturing Plant, in the morning and afternoon; five miles coming and going. I hadn't heard these songs, for years! Brings back memories.
In the late 90s this song, like almost all Fixx songs, nearly put me into some kind of fever. It was nostalgia for an entire era a mere decade and a half later, when I was like 15. After the attraction of early 90s music was gone (which I did also love), a lot of 80s songs rushed in with the vivid fluidity of music that was so very substantial. I will always love The Fixx.

This 1 band that never got the credit they deserved, 1 of my favorites, his voice and the beat of the music just held you to want more.
1982: I had begun a Receptionist job, the year before. In 2-1/2 years, upgraded to a Sales Secretary at the same company. Total time at the same job: 6-1/2 years, until I had job burnout.
I remember hearing 80's songs on my car radio, driving two and from work. And twice daily, five days a week, driving to the Warehouse/Manufacturing Plant, in the morning and afternoon; five miles coming and going.
I hadn't heard these songs, for years! Brings back memories.
Brings me back to 22 yr old, doesn't se that long ago, great song, these guys had few good tunes like this one. Thank you.

In the late 90s this song, like almost all Fixx songs, nearly put me into some kind of fever. It was nostalgia for an entire era a mere decade and a half later, when I was like 15. After the attraction of early 90s music was gone (which I did also love), a lot of 80s songs rushed in with the vivid fluidity of music that was so very substantial. I will always love The Fixx.

The skies will be forthcoming.....as I see and view it at my 70 years, here in the highly regressive region of northern California. As I work five days a week, this music still energizes and motivates. People around me, for the most part, are dead; they are digital slaves and government sycophants. Many of the young people are mentally shovel ready...quite sad.
