You should try breaking them in, as in- play music or any audio through em at medium volume for a couple of hours , for a few days. It really improves the quality to what it’s supposed to be like, as it makes the diaphragms inside the earphones a lil more flexible.
this was my first iem as well , (unboxed today) and i agree it is very base oriented , i agree it is very detailed i can hear every single instrument but vocals especially male are not that good and i get tired after using it for more that half hour.
From my research this one based on specification gave more than the moondrop chu 2 plus they are cheaper and they are both entry level so maybe there are not much different in term of sound

Same here i also used them under 2 hour because I haven't change the uncomfortable ear tips
