- An amazing keyboard I wanted for quite some time and finally got couple of days ago. It has amazing capabilities and fantastic sounds. I realize it's an older model but it was worth the wait.
I've listened to a gazillion demos for this thing. This is probably the best and most useful.

Because it's recorded professionally and sound edited. It's what all reviewers do to get likes and make people buy the product. If people buy it they get more stuff sent to them to review
@@stewarthenson7558this was recorded on my kitchen table, with a zoom r24 and a laptop. No editing was done other than cutting to fit the video...And this wasn't made by request or to get free stuff (I wouldn't mind free keyboards though, not gonna lie...)

Its funny, this is probably the only thing you will ever need for these type of sounds, should be a module though.

Nice playing. I was never a fan of wah on a Rhodes...but on the clav it sounds fantastic. Just the way You Are works great with Rds I and the phaser. Toy piano ??? I've seen a RUclips clip where an electrician disconnected the Toy internally and the Accoustic Grand takes it place. Wish i could find it again.
There is an option I forgot to include in the video - if you turn off the keyboard and balance the knob between Toy and CP, you get the acoustic grand. :)

What does the action feel like on the keys?
Could you explain mhat all of the cables plugged into the back do? What isthe minimum amount of gear needed to record sound from this synth?
From right to left:
Power cable, sustain pedal and R+L 6.3mm cables for stereo audio recording. So basically, you need 2 cables and something to record with. In my case - Zoom R24 recorder with Reaper DAW. Laptop and Zoom are connected with a USB to host cable.
Still blows my mind why Yamaha thought including that crappy toy piano sound over the grand piano or another EP or synth sound was necessary.
You can get the grand piano sound. There's a trick to do it.

No, just those sounds plus a hidden piano, but it is midi capable.

That poor Toy Piano really gets a bad rap, don’t it?
It can't really be understated tho, how much the toy piano suks. Most buyers will testify.
i know this is over a year old, but it can also be used with an additional midi keyboard
