"it has the same frustrations as Stuntman." No, it lacks one critical frustration of the original Stuntman game - 5 minute reload times after failing a run.
@@zrobotics You obviously never played Stuntman on the PS2. You had a 5 minute wait while the game reloaded after each attempt. EVERY TIME. There was easily more time spent on the loading screen than playing the game.
If you read the requirements for that last run, it says you need to skim off the roof of the final car, hence why it didn't count you missing it completely.
HIT THE BOXES THROUGH THE GAP 180 E-BRAKE CUT, WHERE ARE YOU GOING? Stuntman is one of my favorite games ever, since most of the fun comes from the difficulty of getting the perfect scene. If only they had the voice lines in this mod
Huge lack or ridiculous explosions so far, but it's a pretty decent attempt to bring back the nostalgia of Stuntman. That requirement for exactly 75mph to hit the last check point of the Lupin stage feels right in the spirit of the game. Modern Emulators have come a long way, I wonder I i could go back and play both games at a decent framerate.
If they just got rid of the loading times so you could retry instantly it'd be so much better. Sadly, I bet there's next to no demand for a port, and as of now it doesn't work properly on emulator.
I remember absolutely hating the spy movie level where you have to two wheel drive the car over a freaking board. I wanted to toss my console into orbit for that.
The oh it's not worked moment 😂😂😂 This mod or whatever has perfect stuntman vibes, I mean the whole video was perfect, couldn't stop laughing Would be appreciated if there was more of this
_"On tonight's FailRace:_ _"There's frustration abound with cinderblocks and trees._ _"A Piccolina struggles with European rooftops._ _"And Alex shows us why he would be rubbish as a stunt driver."_ I had great enjoyment out of this video! The attempts on the second scenario were hillarious, especially when the trees were eating the car and Alex lost his steering in one attempt.
That second track you should have read the description because it said right there the perfect speed for the jump was 68mph and you were hitting it too fast which is why you were breaking your oil pan.
I remember the good old days of my childhood playing the first Stuntman with my cousins, spending hours trying to hit the blimp in the building stadium...
No idea how it could be implemented, but what I think would be cool is if on passing the level you could see all the cars you smashed up in previous attempts lined up and maybe approximate cost of damages, or maybe a limited number of attempts when the movie only has the budget for 5 cars (so you could fail the whole pack of scenarios for 'MoonShine Run', etc if you wreck too many cars early on), and options to mechanically fix some levels of damage to use a damaged car in a later scenario, etc. I'm wondering if these scenarios could benefit from the white borders on rock crawling trails, the ones that define the area you can drive, in places where the walls of arrows have been used. It's less like Stuntman, but it would at least force you to 'stay in frame' as part of the scenario. Maybe you could still put the arrows on top/in front of them for the look and function. Maybe a minimum speed thing too. Not 50 mph or similar, just something that counts down or automatically fails the scenario if you stop or drop below 5 mph after the first checkpoint.
I actually loved playing both the stuntman games and me and my brother would create our own stunt sequences in driver 3 the game. Cause the driving in that was amazing we loved playing the niece level always starting at the massive steps and we had a set route we had to run whilst also being chased by cops plus watching the little cop cars go flying out of control off a jump or bad corner was hilarious
I will say that the time limits felt much tighter when I was playing, because I was getting ass frames per second so everything was a little slower. Also I had the same issue of airing over checkpoints on some other scenarios.
Stuntman was the first game that ever made me throw a controller at like 15. its a moment that will stick with me forever I think, I genuinely couldn't not believe both how frustrated I was... and that it was at a video game, and that it made me angry enough to break something. I broke it, and immediately froze like... my God did I really do that over a silly driving game? And even still I would love to see a new stuntman built with actual beam style damage. With the full camera view after a sequence, the director shouting, the bombastic stunts, the whole nine yards. It would be fantastic, infuriating and wonderful... and sell alot more controllers for the consoles it was on
Adored Stuntman as a kid and hate to think how many hours I must have put into it! Just downloading this mod and attempting it with my G27 and cockpit cam. You can imagine how doubly challenging that may be
So in the first scenario you say you're not sure what you're supposed to do or how it will work in beam, despite the game having given very detailed instructions on precisely what you have to do in the text box right at the start (including the speed required for the jump)....
"it has the same frustrations as Stuntman."
No, it lacks one critical frustration of the original Stuntman game - 5 minute reload times after failing a run.
If you don't have 5 minute+ load times in BeamNG, then you clearly don't have enough mods installed.

@@chrislorusso433 ^ I remember Stuntman, though it wasn't always a 5 minute wait, sometimes it like a minute - but felt like eternity regardless
To be fair, neither did its sequel Stuntman Ignition
If you read the requirements for that last run, it says you need to skim off the roof of the final car, hence why it didn't count you missing it completely.
Still bollocks!
A live Failrace playthrough of actual Stuntman would be a fine thing....if only some form of sorcery would permit it
Stuntman one or two?
@@joshaulis8326 if it's semi skimmed two, full fat one....please don't call me Stuntman, my name's Nigel

Well that story is a mash-up. They combined Moonrunners (movie that inspired TDoH), The Dukes of Hazard, and Smokey and the Bandit.
Amy will be horrified at the abuse through which you put that Piccolina!
"Eating boxes is bad for your health" - that belongs on a T-shirt (with an image of a very badly damaged car scattering boxes everywhere)!
And a tiny “PHRASING” at the bottom lol

Description: go 75 for the jump
Alex: goes 83……
Would love a new release of the old Reflections Stuntman game! Still holds up to this day (though the difficulty is very much 'of the time')

Like he did in the first track which gave the perfect speed for the jump, and he completely ignored.
Loved the original Stuntman game. I have nightmares about Tuk Tuk's still lol
I know what I'm downloading when I get home from work tonight.
I can certainly always appreciate a little Lupin III recreation escape scene

Stuntman?...Like Stuntman games?
Ignition is still my favorite of the series, a REALLY underrated game back when!
I knew from the thumbnail that this'd contain a Lupin the Third reference and it did not disappoint
You cleared the car... but did you *only just* clear the car ever so dramatically for the perfect cinematic shot? Let's reset the scene.
the completionist within me will not rest until the piccolina completes the final scenario
The description screen for the second task said to go 68 mph for the trailer jump

Fun challenge!

Big Enus and Little Enus... not Dukes of Hazard... it's Smokey and the Bandit!

The frame time / frame pacing seemed incredibly inconsistent in this video! It was quite distracting, but the concept is great fun!

You failed the last run cause you arent meant to clear the car, you are meant to sheer the roof off the car that's why it said hit it at 75mph
