When you see the thugs on the train, you can actually see Batman is stalking them as his shadow is on the train window, He will be the Jason of the DC :P
First time I didn’t hear John preface a Batman topic with “my first choice would’ve been a Ben Affleck directed Batman.” That tells you how good the Reeves trailer was.
I think the reason Rob never looked happy to be there is down to the editing, the full uncut version of that interview that aired for the Chinese Fandome which also included Dylan Clarke(producer) seemed a lot more laid back and they joked alot more and just seemed less scripted. I wish they used that for the main panel instead.
A certain group of fans would btch and whine that the wind was blowing the wrong way...I swear.. You just can't please everyone. I loved it. I haven't been this hyped in so long.
This is the best movie trailer I have ever seen in my life!!! Matt Reeves is a Genius and I knew that Pattinson was going to kill it as The Batman from the day I knew He was cast for the role!!! Unspeakably magnificent!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 "It's not just a call it's a warning!"
Oh man, I was even nervous before I saw it, I knew it was going to be great, I also loved the first one so much that, didn’t knew what to expect, how to make it better… but literally I went speechless after this f..kng violent raging adrenaline rush of sequences, perfectly matched with the music. That was 100% Batman.
Can we also talk about how they gave it an almost dark Vader music in that last shot. If y’all didn’t notice go back and watch. The music when he is walking up to the car is like one note from being darth Vader’s song.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but, in the hallway scene, the guy on the far left kind of looks like he's wearing a mask very similar (from behind anyways) to the masks worn by the Court of Owls. Anyone else notice?
It’s funny how that guy calls it unwatchable… was he not excited for the flash teaser, Aquaman teaser, black Adam teaser, Shazam teaser? Yes some of it was boring but come on.. It did give us some great looks at the future of the DCEU. & it’s looking great.
Agreed with everything said here. I also don't quite get why some people obsess about the hair too much. The longer, messier look was clearly intentional to give a sense of youth and inexperience to the character. If he was all clean with slicked back hair and well put together, it would have suggested he already has complete control over his two personas which at the point this film is at, isn't there yet. He doesn't even yet care about being playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne here.
What's also great about this film is that it seems like it's not going to let the realist mindset get in the way of some badassery. I dont care about films taking artistic licenses if it makes the film feel better from my pov. As long as these artistic licenses that they will take doesnt ruin the movie, then its fine with me.
This trailer was INDEED MASTERFUL!!! Visually PERFECT and the characters look like original takes in a distinct world. I am OFFICIALLY super hyped for this movie!!!! It's the 2nd most anticipated movie of 2022 behind Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!!!
Love how Gotham looks like a cross between Dark City (1998) and the city from Seven. Later in Nolan's films Gotham just looked like Chicago and New York.
Easy answer, the last time a trailer for a superhero movie that brought this much excitement was The Dark Knight. I would consider saying the first Avengers, Guardians, or Infinity War, but honestly all the Marvel movies are pumped out so fast now they all blend together. This feels like the first real Batman movie since 2012
I believe it is going to be an awesome movie. At first I didn't think Robert Pattinson could pull it off, but I was willing to give him a chance. In the previews the first thing I said with chills going up my back was "wow"; it was not what I expected and am looking forward to the movie. The previews made the movie look more realistic then any other batman movie before it and If the movie is like the previews, I believe "The Batman" will be my new favorite. Here's hoping.
I love how John makes this big deal about Ben Affleck’s Batman embracing the idea that the cowl is the actual persona, when Keaton and Bale literally did the exact SAME THING!! That being said this movie looks great and I would take this over Affleck’s any day.
And to think. I wanted Andy serkis as penguin but Colin Farrell is filing in that role nicely. Serkis also looks great as Alfred. I can tell they’re going with the earth one version of Alfred. A more gruff, vet who also trained Bruce. So far everything about this trailer is great.
Great and fascinating clip. I was never a comic book guy, but I enjoy some of the movies. I found it intetesting how they spoke of Batman's attitude changing over the years and how it makes sense. I can understand that, just as I could when it happened to Luke Skywalker.
Hold on, angry? Rage filled? Isnt that the Batman we got 20 years later in BvS who had grown filled with the rage of knowing his fight has gone nowhere and has given him nothing but loss and pain? Yes he killed, yes he branded criminals, he was broken and tired and indifferent to the suffering of others after all he went through. This could be a directly linked timeline. Loved the trailer.
Remember Batman is also theater on how he scares the villains then Beat them so bad that he always brakes something from the bad guys. Then he helps them out by paying hospital bill and trying to give them jobs as Bruce Wayne.
My Score 99% perfect. Hope they fix the CGI scene where batman jumps from a building and land somewhere... too fast... but looks like too much CGI. Evertything else, simply perfect. Perfect.
Great discussion guys. Agree with every word. I’ve always wanted to see a Batman film that touches more on the terror of Batman from the perspective of criminals and this movie seems like it delivers!!
What we saw last year in teaser and now in main trailer this movie looks amazing.. Especially Robert Pattinson. He looks perfect in Batsuit, voice is crystal clear as well as dark which is good. Most important point - in Every batman movie even in Nolan's Trilogy Action and rage was missing. First we saw that rage and brutal action in - Batman vs Superman which was OMG. And same thing we can see in Matt Reeves movie, the action sequence looks amazing. It reminds me original version i.e comic and gaming. Where criminals and goons are afraid of Batman. As you can see the cinematography is awesome(last scene where Penguin is watching Batman upside down), you can feel the darkness, the mind games by riddler, Catwoman looks hot and sexy😃 I hope all people will love this movie , it's going to be best movie of next year ......
DC Fandom was boring but the trailer reveals I did like especially The Batman's. Probably the best trailer I have seen this year. That trailer was straight fire! March 2022 can't come soon enough!

It's everything I want in a Batman movie. I'm hoping he's more a detective as he is suppose to be the world's greatest detective, not just a guy who beats up people, but a guy who is always one step ahead of everyone.
Colin Ferrall also looked just like Johnny Depp at the end of the first Fantastic Beasts.
I couldn't believe how different he looked!
I honestly wished John snepp was still alive to see this
Rest in power
Hello-
actually Christian Bale was younger than Pattinson is now when Bale did Batman Begins.
Man John, that was great commentary, loved your views on this
They brought Batman back to the streets; he’s a street level hero and people have forgotten that. He is brutal because he has to be, Gotham is scary so he has be SCARIER… fear is his weapon
He never left the streets.
2:22 THAT part, man John when you’re on the money you’re ON the money😂
6:35 Best Descriptionof Batman Ever!
First time that I watched trailer I was lost for words I thought to myself did I not like it or what I was all confused so i just sat there processing everything rewatch it again and I was blown away this movie is going to be something special.
Shout out to Greg Fraser, the cinematographer. He also shot Dune. He’s the best right now.
I'm going to see it on Saturday, really looking forward to it.
@@ahopefor Awesome! Enjoy the experience!
This trailer was massive
Like every line was just bold to fit in the Batman movie trailer " take it easy sweet heart"
*EASILY* the trailer of the year!! It's not even fcking close!!
Mortal Kombat was the best
If this movie isn't a masterpiece of genre cinema when it comes out based on these trailers alone something has gone seriously wrong somewhere
It was Jeremy Irons Alfred that said "The Fever, The rage, that turn good men, cruel."
The amazing shot at the end looking like an actual bat from our perspective hanging with his Cape....FlAPPPPING!
He seemed like a force of nature in this trailer.
Best Batman trailer ever looking forward to the movie. Does anyone know when it cones to Europe??
2024

What country in particular?
John: He LIVES IN A CAVE!
Me: With a Bunch of SCRAPS
Can we also talk about how they gave it an almost dark Vader music in that last shot. If y’all didn’t notice go back and watch. The music when he is walking up to the car is like one note from being darth Vader’s song.
So many people doubted Reeves when he signed on...
I knew he was going to deliver something amazing.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but, in the hallway scene, the guy on the far left kind of looks like he's wearing a mask very similar (from behind anyways) to the masks worn by the Court of Owls. Anyone else notice?
Ohhh noooo I have to rewatch the trailer
I agree with everything that was said. Trailer was amazing. Cast is top notch. They have sold me on Pattinson as Batman. I can’t wait for the movie
Colin Farrell is doing his best De Niro Al Capone from The Untouchables impression.
John I love your enthusiasm and zest for life!!!!
I love how John makes this big deal about Ben Affleck’s Batman embracing the idea that the cowl is the actual persona, when Keaton and Bale literally did the exact SAME THING!! That being said this movie looks great and I would take this over Affleck’s any day.
@@markdukakis1003 Exactly!!
Where is the Gun?. Just got me chills. Was he talking to the Riddler or was he talking to Joker? And could Phoenix’s Joker be in this universe?
Looks spectacular. Best trailer I have seen in ages.
It's fun watching John this excited and I agree this Batman trailer was super awesome
Best Batman trailer
Most hyped Batman film ever for me
Remember Batman is also theater on how he scares the villains then Beat them so bad that he always brakes something from the bad guys. Then he helps them out by paying hospital bill and trying to give them jobs as Bruce Wayne.
If we see Batman looking over the city on a gargoyle this movie is going to be perfection 🤣🤣
Agreed
