  • Paul and JJ Sonday of Moosic, Pa were invited to show their 1974 #plymouth Cuda at the 2024 #carlisleevents #ChryslerNationals, a final year E-body release that had never been seen at a Mopar-only #carshow before this weekend. We were able to get the backstory of the father and son's enjoyment over their 50 years of involvement with it. Paul was the original buyer for this 38,000-mile #musclecar and worked hard to customize it as you see now. One thing this #plymouthcuda showcases is a real AAR 6BBL engines underhood. We say #moparornocar is the way to roll!
Check out our ongoing DAILY coverage from the 2024 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, including shorts and bi-weekly features. This is one the the largest #carshow events held each year for fans of the #dodge #plymouth #chrysler brands. See them at the playlist for this event! If you are into the #musclecar #classiccars era, we will have content for you until it runs out!

Thank you for the support. Cars like this become more and more few and far between day after day. A true 70's Street Machine survivor with its original owner and rust-free from the Northeast.

A very cool car. I misspoke when I said first "public display" -it was the first time itceveb traveled from its local area to any big car or Mopar show.

Cool car! I can’t help but wonder about the AAR that the motor was pulled from. Any details on it? With the way guys are pulling once deemed destroyed cars out and restoring them these days, I wonder if it may still exist.

@@Watkins16506unfortunately, my father doesn't have any info from that AAR. Only that the motor was pulled due to the accident in which the owner was involved with the car. Most likely the car was sent to a junkyard.

Also, as I think I told JJ, a factory rep was even buying them in 1972-73 and yanking engines for the small block Pro Stock development program. Remains the best LA series block from the muscle era.

JJ, I enjoyed hanging with you guys even if it was only for 15 minutes.

It's in the lead photo but you're right. I did not get the full driver's side on there. Sorry about that. Some better overall shots will actually be in a short I still need to process and upload, but what, you pointed out was an oversight on my part.

It's not for the purist but it is a time capsule from the era. I only filmed 3 longer-than-one-minute videos in this building and picked this one after hearing the story.
