I think Goats wiggle video, for the community, was more about finally having some evidence they could point at and say, “see! We told you the cheating situation was horrible!” than it was about confirming cheating in general. Cheating turned about to be worst than we thought considering not everybody was cheering to kill but rather to clear the loot off the map. Onvisouly most of knew about that when you see a guy selling 35 ledx’s on the flea at level 22.

didnt like how he was saying that only good players know when someone is cheating and its only newer players that really needed it due to them not really knowing, when its the fact that no matter who you are or what skill level you are at, there is going to be someone closet hacking using only wallhacks

the reason the goat video did so much is it confirmed that playing the game right now is not worth yout time in anyway if you want a even playing field. Im cool with putting 500 hours into a game to get good at it when i know the ones killing me did the same. When i know for a fact they arnt and are just cheating ill just play something else.

I think everyone knew that there were cheaters. Everyone just kind of dealt with it and thought that they come across cheaters maybe once every 10 raids. But I think the goat video made it apparent that there's almost a guarantee that there will be a cheater in your lobby every other raid. Everyone knows there were cheaters, but I don't think we realized how bad it actually is, which is what the goat video I think succeeded the most at

There 100% should be a prestige system with associated cosmetic unlocks. This would give a lot more players a reason to keep playing. Many people don't really talk about this, but the quests are just so bad and unholy repetitive. I was the person to get kappa every wipe, when there was around 200 quests in the game. Now, with time gating, 300+ quests, lightkeeper bullshit, repetitive quests, dumb quests like capturing outposts, I just cannot do it anymore.
In my opinion theres so much quantity and not enough quality in terms of quests in this game, its like running into a brick wall. Like why do i need to have 3+ kill scav quests on every map, why is there 15 tarkov shooter quests, why is capturing outposts a thing, why do i need to run interchange 100 times to find killa because spawn chance is so low, etc etc etc...
Over the last 3 wipes, I quest until 35 for items case, and never quest again. I find myself with being more annoyed at doing the same dumb quests for the last 5 years and that being more frustrating than cheaters or tech issues.
One other thing would be locking or changing the secure container in some way. I play a lot of shoreline, and I get really annoyed that if I get a bad spawn, I dont get the same chance at the good loot as the closer spawn players. You shouldnt be able to put a ledx, BTC, GFX, etc in your container. If they were to lock higher end barter items out of the container, it would make for more interesting fights, and excitement in looting something high end off of someone you killed.

I am just tired of doing the same quests in the same order. I'm also just kinda tired of the quests in general. I just want to fight people and make money.
I've been preaching this forever but what I think would make the game more interesting, is tasks being in a random order. It would make it so people are playing everywhere rather than everyone rushing the same maps and locations early wipe. Obviously there are quests that shouldn't be given out super early or they have requirements that you wouldn't be capable of doing early level. I just want something different.
The quests for me also feel like achievements in most other games. "Kill 4 scavs naked" okay? But like, why is that a quest? What a dumb quest. Imo a lot of the quests feel more like chores the more I play the game. Having the tasks be more random would also help with burnout I think. I get really tired of having to go to shoreline 30 raids In a row once you get the 5000 shorelines quests. I wanna play the other maps but I gotta do my chores first to get to max traders. If quests were more in a random order, it would make it so you wouldn't have to play shoreline 30 raids In a row. Now I know that there's a story and stuff that follow the order of the quests but like, who cares about the story? I have like 3000 hours in tarkov and I still have no clue what's going on with the lore. I play tarkov because I want money and awesome pvp, not to do the most contrived quests known to man

SPT tarkov was made, individuals moded every fix and every thing BSG plans on adding/ things the community wants. You would think BSG would be grateful that the SPT modders fixed their fucking game into a playable state and improved it, but instead they want to sue them. I couldn't disagree more with your take on the cheating comments, we 1000% needed the goat video. It really exposed how many people are "on average" using just ESP, and actively trying to "not" look like they are cheating. It nullified what the streaming community as a whole was under playing, constantly deflecting you can't tell the difference between a cheater and desync, and the number of cheaters isn't what people assume. We are seeing tarkov streamers with very low numbers at this point in the wipe, which is somewhat normal, but I think the goat video increased that as well, which is why streamers always down played the cheating epidemic in tarkov.

Perception should definitely be in the game, except, it should do the exact opposite of what it does now, make your hearing WORSE. If you are a lvl 54 chad with meta gear, you have an overwhelming advantage on all fronts today, but with "Hearing loss debuff", that timmy just trying to do operation aquarius in dorms should and could hear you before you hear him, which is not the case rn. That way he at least would have the slight chance of not getting r-worded immediately upon your entrance.
AND it would actually make sense realism wise: prolonged exposure to gunfire, especially indoors, does cause hearing damage.
Edit: In my opinion, the op skills should come with debuffs to better balance it out.
F.e. If you have elite strength and endurance, the peak of athleticism, like irl, you should have to eat more. If your metabolism skill isn't up to snuff, you should have to suffer increased energy and hydration drain. All those acrobatics you see people with elite skills perform would indeed leave you parched and hungry very quickly. You might actually have to consider taking some water or food if you plan on jumping around like a monkey.

Player speed and weight should be entirely based on the gear you're wearing. If you go in meta'd you're more likely to win a fight but you're slower and can't carry much. This will encourage most to use "mid-tier" stuff which should maintain the kind of gameplay people enjoy early in the wipe longer. For awhile it's been about maxing stats so you can fly around with the best gear which i find counter intuitive to tarkov overall. I agree people who play more should be stronger but that should translate to having access to gear they need for a specific raid, not being a super human who's outright better than others in every circumstance.

Treating the tarkov platform as a death match arena rather then a survival game where you can use all kinds of different exciting tactics, creating different fun scenarios, instead of going full nuts to hit end game asap so they can later spit on every casual gamer in the universe with their imba chad loadouts.. after which they complain even more about people leaving the game, blaming it on poor performance or things like virtually non existant cheaters, when they are the problem themselves ruining the experience for everyone else. This strimer pseudo-feedback double moral mentality (i believe) is the main reason why the game feels dead, to you!.. People are enjoying the game in their own way, surviving in their own way, roleplaying their own game, their own character and are happy with it while also being totally aware of and accepting the fact that the game still being in Develpment! the reason that video made such an impact is because BSG uses obfuscation as part of their anti cheat.. which is why they failed so miserably to do anything at all about the cheating situation. If obfuscation is your main defense, you've already lost.

I have started to main labs this wipe as something to have fun and tbh the people there don't care about peeking everything correct or playing to win every time they play to have fun and pvp. Unless they are ratting but that happens on every map so you can't stop the leg meta corner campers from being anywhere. And about the guns being "laser beam and only meta with no variety" it just isn't a good arguement as to why labs isn't fun because everyone knows everyone is going to be geared and I would rather fight someone with a good kit and feel good about winning, rather than fighting a timmy with a stock ak on customs when he's trying to do a quest. Additionally the entry cost is high and the loot is the best in the game with ledx spawns everywhere so I don't see the problem with people being super geared and always ready to fight to secure what loot they can. Its not like you couldn't go to labs take the best of the loot and leave with 200k profit every time its just a different map with inertia and its just a new meta that people want to do.

Except for QOL and game stability elements, Tarkov has been going downhill since patch 12.4. If you took every mechanic of the game from that patch and put it into the current map catalogue (minus the underground on Reserve cause it ruined that map), the game would be undeniably better all around. Imagine if bosses and raiders actually spawned consistently and you didn't get winded from walking 5ft? Imagine if there was good loot that you didn't have to rifle through 100 filing cabinets every match to find? Imagine the joy of discovering a weapons case in a marked room, or seeing a chad desperately run out of a marked room trying to and escape with the juicy loot? Imagine actually being able to make money even if you died because you had a high value item in your SC before FIR garbage? Can anyone remember when you could survive in Tarkov by relying on PvP?
I remember all of this stuff and it was glorious. Not perfect, and in some ways bad, but a waaaay better level of bad then we have now. Nothing but rats, crabs, and cheaters still play Tarkov. Just think of the bitcoin interchange wipe. The maps were still full after months only because people could afford to go in full geared every round! now at a certain point everything is gated for people who can play 24/7 and that can't be long. Logically casuals stop playing if they can't afford the necessary ammo etc just because nolifers have an endless supply of it.
