i couldn't click on it fast enough as i love Sindy so much. i love the first one especially the green top with lace, isn't she a darling. she reminds me of the one i had but mine was brunette and i bought a vintage one but her hair was mostly out, i still love her though. the second one in the striped top, the new one has got more of a "colourful" makeup, her red handbag reminds me of one i had in the 70s. love her curly long hair reminds me of Barbie's hair and her bow earrings. yes i can see the new one is so much more superior in quality than the one with the pleats. anyway they are all lovely.

Recently my daughter wanted to get her Cindy doll collection valued , a woman contacted my daughter from the Doll and Musical instrument agency in Vancouver, they requested we send pictures of all 37 doll in her collection with a value fee of 350$ Canadian, . Approximately a woman telephoned my daughter from their value team and they told her the dolls were worthless because she had cut the hair of some and the others were covered in damage which is untrue. My daughter is absolutely devastated. Please help!
Oh dear it sounds to me like they are just trying to get them for a cheaper price - I would look on places like eBay and check the sold section to give an idea of what they are worth, it is very difficult for me to say as I’m not an expert - there are a few Sindy groups on Facebook, it might be worth joining them for advise 🥰🥰
Great review as always sweetheart 💖 I had a couple of those vintage blonde Sindys as a kid, they were probably from the church jumble sale. I wish I'd kept them 😕 but then I didn't think to keep things I had as a kid. I love my Argos playline Sindy dolls, they're such good value for £20 each! 😁 But my favourite era of Sindy has to be from the 90s to early 2000s 😍💕🤩😉❤️🤗😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I have 3 sindys all vintage. I like the middle doll which is articulated. Can’t afford it though. So I will wait for a second hand one to appear in my price rage. I play with mine
Ther isnt much between the play and collectors range as far as the doll bodies are concerned but the accessories and detailing is what makes the collectors more, great comparison, i love them all 😊😊
When I was very young I had brunette Fleur dolls that were considered the Dutch Sindy. I have no idea what happened to them but I assume dad threw them away when I lost interested in toys/dolls in my teenage years. I'd give anything to have them back, I have yet to see them available on the market in my country now that I want them back :(. Sindy has such a classic look and I loved the video showing the vintage to modern ones =). I think you can always tell the quality of a doll by the hair..

Weekender Sindy seemed like a proper Sindy to me because I mainly remember them being blonde dolls when I was a child. She looks so lovely, and I do really like her outfit. With the price comparison it should also be pointed out that the Collector Sindys are limited in number and will likely go up in price because of it whereas the Playline Sindys are not limited in number (as far as we know). It's kind of nice having the choice. One thing that does interest me is are the original Sindy dolls and the Collector/Playline dolls able to fit into each others clothes?
Oh I will have to try the clothing out - they do look pretty similar in size though - yes of course I got so engrossed I forgot to mention about them being limited edition 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🥰🥰
It is interesting to see the 3 versions. I only have vintage Sindys. One of my vintage Sindy has a neck articulation and her head is not removable. It surprised me when I found her. I also like the first Hasbro Sindy dolls with the old vintage face mold and no lashes. I find them very cute. The collector Sindy is beautiful. I like her face paint and the bright red lipstick. £80 is too expensive for me. I don't want to spend that kind of money. I still don't have any of the new playline dolls. I only saw 3 in my local Sainsbury's the blogger, the pink haired one and the cake girl with the purple hair. I'll see. I don't know which one I like the most! At least I have my vintage dolls if I am too slow and miss out!! Lol

Difficult choice! lol It might be the one with the purple hair... but I like the others too. I'll wait until I'll see an improvement with my space issues. They don't seem to sell very fast. I am very interested in fashion packs especially if they fit the vintage dolls.

All three of the dolls are pretty but you can see the difference in details. I like the play line Sindy's overalls and braided hair. Take care.

How big are the bodies? I just bought a head off of ebay, it needs rerooted and a new body.
sindy head, generation 2, she's in ruff shape and smells like smoke.
They are a standard size for Sindys I believe the 2nd gen ones have a round ball like head attachment 🥰
