im not a dancer at all and im pretty self concious about things like this...but i played this demo with my friends and i absolutely love this game so much fun makes me want to learn how to dance

I consider myself a hardcore gamer, play games like COD, Halo, Gears of War, Fallout 3, etc. But this game looks really fun! Not only is it benefiting for your health, but you also can have fun while doing so too.
Second thoughts due to lack of core games for Kinect? Remember that Kinect just came out 2 days ago (Nov. 4) and with Dance Central looking incredibly fun, I can't wait to see what Kinect has to offer later on.
If I saw someone doing a full solo dance routine like this I would die

@TheHelpfullGamer Just because you suck at it doesn't mean everybody else did or will. I got the game yesterday and I suck at some of the dance move and it just made me WANT to keep doing it until I get it. Pratice makes perfect don't care how long it takes me to learn it's a fun game. Easiest dance on there is poker face HARDEST dance(in my opinion) is pump up the jam
Why is no story mode a negative? DDR didn't have a story mode, and nobody complained about that, they just danced to the music. This is a dancing game and last time I checked, they don't need a story mode for people to enjoy the game

alot of haters out there, now i dont own a 360 but me and my bro played this, while slightly embarrassing it really was fun, i was shocked, but one thing dissapointed me..harmonix where the fuck is Freakshow on the Dance Floor by the barkays? 26 years later that song is still one of the ultimate dance songs, youtube it guys if you dont believe me, i gurantee you'll start dancing in your chairs along to the beat
3:28, Gangsta. You could be the most vanilla human being on the planet, if you master that move, you automatically gain street cred. I can't dance for shit, I might look into this game.
I'm 62 and 50 pounds overweight but after but after 3 months, Im in the top 60 of 5 dances: warm up challenge, evacuate the dance floor, cant get you out of my head, jungle boogie and BRICK HOUSE with a score of 1,028,000. Trebia217BC
@manciuxl1 How does it compare with the other dance games though? I just tried it out today (not my own set) and it seemed pretty fun. But I've no experience with the other dance games... You tried the other ones as well as this one?
@229tman and the wii was a rip of the dreamcast fishing rod? just because it has been done before does not meant someone else cant refine it

@1413TNT they made like 1 complaint about that on raging blast and in games like that you have other things to do
in dance central its plain...dancing, stuff like a career mode that gives you better gear or songs would be nice and it is pretty much standard in these sorts of games
@FeeLtheHertZ I know. That's what I said. The first good game they made was Frequency, but they've been on a roll since then.
This game is honestly the only reason I would even consider getting kinect, it looks so amazing to play, plus has some amazing songs :)
Are there any other good Kinect games coming out later on, or are all the Kinect games out at launch, I can't think of any Kinect games that arn't launch games...
Well.. that surprised me. This is one thing that Kinect does seems to be strong in.
This is the only game that makes me want to get Kinect. Maybe I'll get it's sequel with Kinect in 2012 cuz I'm not even getting a 360 till 2011.

im an overweight 34 year...but i dont live in my moms basement....and I DO beat my kids ass at this game. awesome for getting the heart rate up without killing yourself and to make you sweat. plus its fun as hell. out of all my kinect games....this is the one i (my family) plays the most

@19Bill94 The criticism on the lack of simultaneously multiplayer is absolutely accurate: that is what makes Just Dance 1 and 2 on WII an extremely social experience and a party booster. Stop cursing and whining and accept opinions different from yours

@sgwavesurfer actually maybe you forgot or didn't hear they are working on a Michael Jackson KINECT title that will feature tons of Michael J. Greatest Hits and Signature Dance Moves. Maybe even some concert and interview footage with the game........

I actually like this, but not nearly enough to pay for a full price game. It's also disappointing that there's no career mode or something like that, because that would definitely increase the time I would spend playing it.

@jordanthewizard So Kinect's "killer app" is a game that utilizes the hardware very well and can only be played with Kinect. Move's "killer app" is an FPS that can be beaten with the controller?
Here's some advice, the lower the song, the higher the chances of it being harder, except for drop it like it's hot, I got 4 stars on hard
this game was free at old navy on black friday, with a $25 purchase but still
2:26 did the dance move perfectly and it didn't register? did you look at yourself? sounds like your just complaining. the game has no problem of telling if you did it right or not. if it says you didn't do it right, chances are, you didn't do it right.
I bet anything there gonna make a number 2 and when they do I hope they have multiplayer that would be so fun

it's harmonix i hope they release this on the ps3 because the pseye can definitely do what kinect can
@manramen Eh, its trying to get public attention first, then Dance Central 2 will hopefully have more variety. But with DC at least you do get to learn the moves, not just rely on your hand having the correct motion like in the Wii
If I ever play this with friends around, I'll play this enthusiastically without fear of humiliation. I like to dance btw. :P
Hey guys, I'm hoping to get Kinect for my birthday (20th Jan) but I dont know what to get with it. Other than Kinect adventures which comes with Kinect, should I get this, or Sonic Free Riders?
@yadig2012 Yeah but takes a while and it may be hard to remember some moves.
Plus there's some moves you may not want to remember, like the "pose swing"
@decaobr ever heard of the song Imma Nerd? Its a pretty awesome. Plus, this song may help out nerds who sit on the couch become dancing legends at parties. I'm deciding what to buy once i get the kinect since kinect adventures apparentely gets boring/repetitive quickly. also, lol (i have now ruined my entire comment with those three letters :D
This will sell more than all PS3 Move only games combined.

Usually, I kind of like that there is no story and I also like there is only a few useless unlockables because in a game like this because I don't like if there is a song I want to play and I can't play it cause I haven't unlocked it yet! And if I have to play songs I don't like to unlock it, it's no fun anymore! Plus I'm not really a gamer (as you may imagine) and I couldn't make it past the first set of songs in Guitar Hero.
Maybe a good idea would be to be able to use your own music stored on the Xbox 360 Hardrive..
The Wii U has been out for barely any time at all when all the great games come out and its been out for a while itll start to sell.
Fair Score, id buy it if i owned a Kinect or a 360.

@Bebombabom hey dancing isnt just for girls you know. This game is extremely fun espically when you have some buddies around cheerin you on Im a boy that plays mw2 and halo reach but I found myself ditching halo reach and playing this I found it quite obsessive
makes more sense than stomping on pads repeatedly.

This is the ONLY game that worth buying Kinect. Kinect is the new dance pad, that's it.
@Djstudiosgold I disagree with you. I can dance as well, and this game rocks. The music choice is good, except for a few tracks, and why get mad over the character in the game showing you the move? And don't you mean you don't want to dance TO Lady Gaga? I haven't done that song, because the moves in the dance doesn't feel like it's made for men, anyway.
when will they though? SOny has already launched so many exclusives this year, and will still release more, and this is the last year for the ps3 as the main console. What is nintendo releasing? the 1000th mario title?

IGN's kind of inconsistant. Nagging them for having unlockable characters, songs, and outfits. Then nagging games that don't.
Ion't like kinect, but this game actually looks incredibly fun.
