I would think they would wanna use 4-stroke dirt bikes for enduro. Can someone tell me why they are using 2-stroke dirt bikes. I would think the spark plugs would foul more.
maschi821 Modern 2-strokes are lighter than comparable 4-strokes and still have plenty of power for the steep climbs. Less weight and less rotating mass makes a big difference on the gnarly trails. They tend not to stall as easily at low revs, and they're also easier/cheaper to fix when they break.

maschi821 they use 2 strokes because they are about 10 kg lighter then 4 strokes and much simpler
