Age 15 I can’t wait for a new AFI album, the last one was so good. Which was black sails in the sunset at the time. Age 37- I completely forgot about this band until a new song popped up in my RUclips. It doesn’t sound bad, I just like the older stuff a lot more. The music is more memorable. It’s catchy, the lyrics are amazing, the guitars are sick, everything about old AFI sends chills down my spine. It’s why my first tattoo was an AFI tattoo. But the new stuff is easily forgettable. I keep giving it chance after chance. Because I wanna like it more, because this band saved my life in high school when I went through some rough times. But I just can’t seem to get into it as much. I’m sure the lyrics are still good though, Davey has always been an amazing Poet
Esta banda en definitiva cambió mucho radicalmente. Siento que debió seguir teniendo el estilo de albums como: Sing The Sorrow o December Underground o de años atrás. Sé que muchas veces el estancarse en un estilo les afecta a muchas bandas, pero creo que AFI cayó en lo comercial. Por ejemplo no sé bien qué pasó con Davey, pero llegar al punto de taparse todos sus tatuajes, o sea, ¿qué le ocurrió para tomar esa decisión?

Ive loved the 5 or so songs that came out recently(trash bat,break angels etc) cant wait to get the album!hopefully yall release a CD cause I still hate buying digital.hehe.2021 has hope everyone!#LOVEAFI

First tattoo I got was a multicolor AFI with Jack skelingtons head above it!!! Only thing to make me happy in 2020 was my Blaq audio tatt and now this!!!!!! :)
