Hope I stay in line; I tend to get off track while crocheting on things like this. No, I really think I can do this! Getting off track was 10 yrs ago. I’ve had a lot more experience since then using RUclips. Your initial directions help a lot!
So cute!!! I think this would also be pretty as a coverup. Thanks so much for sharing!!! Have a good night!!!

You look absolutely gorgeous in this video!! It has a "Amish" vibe to it, which I love! I don't know if I can work with a one weight anymore, old hands, old eyes. But I do have some DK weight yarn I can try. Thank you for this tutorial and you, my dear,
look like a breath of fresh Spring air!! ♡♡♡
That's what I thought too, the Amish look with the head scarf and shawl.
I live at a place where there are a lot of Amish people

Hi Jada shawl came out beautiful I have a lightweight yarn that maybe I’ll try to use it with the pattern I really love it
Hi Jean! Thank you for watching 😊
Pretty yarn and pattern. I will have to use a different one weight yarn since summer nights is discontinued.
Hi Tracy! You can still find it here and there (like Amazon!) but yes! This pattern suits all 3 weight categories 😁
@@JaydaInStitches I looked on Amazon and the shipping was as much as the yarn. Oh! what size of hook for 3 weight categories?
Very very pretty x
Hi Jayda! I love this yarn, and have made a few things so far with this yarn. I would love to make this shawl because I am in love with that edging. I’m not a big fan of triangular shawls but that edge had me at hello. A good in between project while waiting on September’s Tunisian square 😉🦋
Hi Di! A little wearable to break up the blanket-making 😁
I have been waiting on this!!!🤗 I made your other shawl made from Summer Nights.
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊

Thank you! 🤗
Thanks , I love it !
Thank you for watching!
So beautiful!!
Thank you Karen!
Hi Jayda. This is a really pretty shawl! I love the shawls you make using treble crochets. They are always beautiful! I was disappointed to learn that this yarn has been disconnected but I was able to get a double skein just like you have! Can’t wait to get it! I’m wondering if I’ll be able to get 2 shawls out of it. I guess it will all depend on my gauge. I’m sure the yarn won’t go to waste. I just made a shawl using Lion Brand Summer Lights and I should have used a smaller hook. Now I have a shawlette!😂🤣. Good lesson learned. Me, the one who is always talking about gauge swatching blissfully went on crocheting and then finally realizing I wasn’t going to have enough yarn. Frog time, lol! Thanks for another great tutorial!💞
Hi Thea! I think I could get 2 of these shawls out of a bonus bundle without any trouble - but I might make a smaller neck scarf version for the cooler fall ahead too!
Hi Jayda. That’s a great idea! I tend to crochet more loosely so that would be perfect! Thanks for the suggestion! Have a wonderful week!💕
Hey Jayda, this is just so lovely! Very feminine… I have several cakes of Lion Brand Cupcake and also Mandela (3 light weight) that I’ve been hanging onto wondering what will I ever make with all this yarn. Now I know, and some will be gifts! I’ll also make the kerchief to match, which I think is very feminine as well. Thanks for this video
Hi Val! That's perfect!
Thank you
Ahh, yes, now I remember! Sorry, but there are so many nice projects out - here - that I just cannot keep up!
LOL, I know! Not enough time in a year 😂
Yeah, so true! 🥰 Still making a lot of them from your channel; cute, quick and adorable!!💗
👋🏼 hey I’m making doily type snowflake Christmas ornaments. I have been using Annie’s crochet thread size 10 with a 2mm hook. This thread works well for snowflakes but for clothing items most likely would be a little rough.
My question is: Lion Brand- what are the differences between the size 1,2,3 and what are their suggested hook size? Also what is their feel/loft? A short video would be awesome because I am looking but I have to order online so I can’t touch and descriptions aren’t always enlightening. Thank you Jayda for your bouncy attitude, always makes me smile. Many Blessings
And I’m sure lion brand would love the review video ;)
Hi Barrie, yarns in those 3 weight categories all vary in fiber, thickness and feel - I'd love to get my hands on all of them 😁 Hook sizes are specific to the pattern one uses the yarn with, not necessarily the yarn weight. The hook size mentioned on a yarn label relates to the gauge swatch - this is for people to have a general idea of the sizing IF using that hook with that yarn and possibly that particular stitch (usually a single crochet). In the case of this shawl, we're intentionally using larger hooks than what is traditionally paired with yarn weights in those categories because we want a loose, elastic feel to the pattern 😊 Thank you for watching and have a fantastic weekend!
Благодарю!
Thank you for watching 😊
It is 6:38pm Canada. Hi, Jayda may I know the pattern for your white poncho over the shoulders. Thank you , take care
HI Nancy, that's our Summer Cover up here: ruclips.net/video/lXkyFTlCADQ/видео.html
I had another thought while shopping for this yarn (looking for best reasonable deal on certain colors.....hard to find) ... I was wondering if one cold use this yarn to make what I guess is called a "Baby wrap sling" thing? The long straight rectangular time. I get these ideas...what can I say?
I'm not so sure it's a strong enough or weighty enough yarn that I'd trust it to keep a baby tied to it's mother. Plus it has a pretty sparkle thread running through it that I wouldn't want baby to chew on 💗
I am thining there should be a yarn out there that would work for that sort of thing though. TY
I am wondering how this would do with dbl strand of Summer Nights? Prob not good idea>
You would want to use a larger hook to accommodate the double strand, but I say go for it!
Witam, bardzo ładny wzór a jakim jest zrobiona chustka na głowę? Można prosić o film jak zrobić?
Hi Renata! The link for our headscarf tutorial is in the description box 😊
What do you think of a lite poncho with This yarn.???
Very pretty! It would take a little longer with the fine weight yarn, but it would be just beautiful!
To good afternoon I love to show. The cellphone. I can see you tutorial. And I'm you fan Jayda i. Like it the handwork all you work for me is Soviner of my life. Thank to read this my message for and try to understand me because me I'm stop the going study in grade six thank to read this my message and God Bless you 🌹🌹🌹♥️♥️♥️
Hi Normita! Thank you for watching 😊
This is so pretty! I’m not much of a shawl person, but I love that head covering. Is it exactly the same, but smaller? With the ties added? I would really like to make that instead (even watched the whole video before commenting to make sure you didn’t address it). Thanks, Jayda!
Wendy, she has two head scarf/ kerchief tutorials using this yarn. One is the summer breeze and the other is the splendid shell stitch. I’ve made both of them for myself and gifts. Think the one she’s wearing is the summer breeze. Also the mile a minute bookmark tutorial to make very delicate bookmarks from the same yarn. Just go on her you tube channel and search
Hi Wendy! That one in particular is our Splendid Shell Stitch Kerchief: ruclips.net/video/jCWDd4uJuoU/видео.html
Thank you both!!
@@JaydaInStitches I just wanted to give you a quick update. I got some really pretty cotton yarn - it said it was size 4, but I think it was a little thinner than that - and made both of your kerchiefs! Because of the bigger yarn, I got both of them from a single 180-yard skein. I’ve been wearing them every day! These are something I’ve been looking for for months if not years. So thank you!
❤
Is this tatting? This is lovely.
Hi! Nope, this is ALL crochet 😁
Hiiii jayda I had a question to ask I have this pattern and I’m having so much trouble doing it can I send it to you and can you make a video tutorial on it if possible it would really mean a lot !! 💗💗💗
Hi Priscilla! Unfortunately, we only have time to help out with our own patterns and tutorials 😊
Yesterday I went to the store hoping to get some Summer Nights yarn and they were all out! 🫢 It’s one of my favorite yarns for shawls, and obviously the people in my community enjoy it as well. 💕💕💕
Hi Matilda! We've seen it on Amazon just recently!
I wonder why I never see anybody wear crocheted shawls where I live! I love making them, but nobody wears them 🤷♀️
I consider my fancy shawls as a fancy night out thing 😊
hi jayda its bit difficult for me what should i do this time i am stuck but i still make it i couldn't understand help needed
Hi Maryam, be sure to pause the video and rewind and go back to the beginning of each row and make a little sampler of the V-St pattern to start. That way you'll have a better idea of where you're running into trouble 😊
Can i use 4 weight? I can not use 1 and 2
Hi Karen, you can also use 3 weight!
👍🏼👍🏽💟
I mhaving mainstay yarn can I use it for this pattern
Hi! I'm not familiar with that yarn, but if it's a size 1 or 2, and feels nice and smooth, it will work with this pattern 😊
Please where can I order this yarn ..
How canninorder for this type of yarn
Hi Lourdes, any Size 1 yarn in preferred fibers would be lovely with this pattern. Lion Brand has discontinued Summer Nights, but you can still find it for sale in some stores and on Amazon.
