Embark just released a new trailer for their debut game, The Finals. I also got to attend a behind the scenes event, to listen to some of the big plans they have in store. Let's dig into it and find out what you might have missed and why this title is worth your time.

I'm still more excited about Arc Raiders, Embark is sure making a name of themselves.
Any mention/acknowledgement to TF2 (3:45) is a great start. They understand what a timeless game is.
Makes me feel sad that these amazing devs are not making Battlefield in their way and had to create a new studio in order to have that creative freedom back.
I just want a game like BF3/4 but updated with todays game engines, but I don't think we'll ever get anything that will be close to BF3/4 again.
Yeah. We can only hope.. maybe they can reverse engineer it lol..
But seriously tho. That would be so epic. Personally I really want a Battlefield Vietnam again, just like BC2: Vietnam, but modern graphics etc, plus single player campaign, and a classic Battlefield mp with that classic progression system

I think people need to stop living in the past. All we want are remasters and remakes of old games. Not many people are praising original titles, which is of course what our dream games were at one point in time.
TF2/BFHeroes vibes gameplay wise. looks really immersive and fun
I'm glad Embark decided to release this before ARC Raiders. This game is much more appealing, in my opinion.
I’m kind of the opposite. This looks cool but it does feel incredibly similar to other games in the current FPS space aside from the destruct. Arc raiders looks much more new and interesting imo.
Agreed, Arc Riders are good but I don't like fighting robots lol

If this engine is used to make world War games it would be awesome.... The lighting and assets are awesome I was continuously tracking embark for a long time
Oh man that would be insane. Hopefully at some point we get a historic war game with that engine, like Vietnam f ex
If I'm not wrong, this is being done in Unreal Engine. However, these devs are using their own environmental destruction plug-in to do this

@@caprise-music6722yes that would be awesome also just think of the modern day wars that are going on in the world... Russia vs ukrain quad vs china and Pakistan, war between iran and isreal... And the list goes on...
@@roz1 That's something unrelated to their main titles, which are both done in Unreal Engine. The Rust stuff is for open source projects to give to developers.

It's looking good. I'm expecting a lot of issues (bugs,crashes) on launch but nothing that they can't fix

Since dynamic destructive environment is a thing for even a free to play game as Battlebit, happy to see more titles implementing the same mechanic.
well the battlebit... is a at a little different level...
Battlebit won't be free, the playtests are but the final product won't.

I'm just excited that the dev team ate firmer dice and this makes me internally happy. the good old days of BF4 destruction and the fun I had. I can't wait to see what they do with this. I'm a huge support type of person so I'm looking forward to how we can build our characters and I hope you can build multiple characters in one single profile would be fantastic. We are looking at the next gen of ESPORTS with this. I'd love to see this also.

Did the developers talk about tracking abilities,attachments,& equipment? Things like tracker in COD or Seer/Bloodhound in Apex Legends. Those kinds of abilities or equipment IMO are the most annoying to deal with if not properly balanced. Same goes for optics or grenades that can highlight your through cover.

easily the number 1 shooter i'm looking forward to. looks incredibly sick. since it's from that "new" company with the ex dice devs, I think there's a very high chance it's going to be as good as the trailers indicate. not because there's ex dive devs but because companies usually start messing up much later, not in the beginning.

This will be absolutely awesome if it's not too much of a meat grinder. I do like a bit of skulking around once in a while(this builds some tension)
Atleast the wacky cosmetics will fit

Game looks and sounds cool but I don't really care for the game mode it will be based on. I'll wait and see if they add any other game modes.

Damn I saw the trailer on Twitter and figured I'd check out your video. You're telling me it's only this capture the box game mode? Was really hoping for a conquest/flag capture mode. I'm significantly less likely to be interested in the game if it doesn't have those types of modes.

@@caprise-music6722 It seems weird to me that they would design a whole game around a seemingly gimmicky game mode. Perhaps there's still a chance for other modes I guess.

The destruction, orgasmic.
The premise, simple and fun sounding.
The comparison to Team Fortress sparked my interest. A classic shooter that easily stands the test of time.
Color palette, nice and bright.
Character designs, meh. Seems almost generic and uninspired to me.
Definitely more interested in this than their other game.
Lots of Battlefield 3 vibes here.

Agree. There's a lot of hype around the studio, just because it's some old DICE devs.
But yea, this Team Fortress Overwatch thing is a bit idk...
I mean if you're gonna talk about the vibe, the "gritty WW3 setting" of BF2042 is nothing but a joke. Same was the case with BFV with its "rewriting of history" crap.
Games like battlefield and cod had their immersion going for them. Something that both games have completely lost and offer nothing impressive gameplay wise anymore.
That's why Apex Legends is still so popular. Screw the whole realism and boots on the ground stuff and put the players in a world/setting that they can get immersed in without having to worry about that. That's what The Finals is going to do in my opinion.
But I've had my hype for games crushed by dumb games like the installments of Cod and Battlefield in the last few years. So, even though I'm hyped, I'm going to be extremely critical going into this game.
@@usamabinmuzaffar692 I don't think 2042 is WW3 in the first place, so look at it from another perspective. Take your time to understand the lore, you'll realize they're depicting a New Cold War. That's why we're playing as private mercenaries in isolated tactical engagements. What we're playing right now is after "WW3" but before "WW4".
They were gonna start fleshing out the war scenario through the live service, but the game flopped so we're not getting that now. My guess is their next game will be WW3 in the 2020s; BF3/BF4 universe.

I will never understand why people don’t like hardline. It’s just a classic hatetrain. A few people say it sucks, and a whole bunch of blithering sheep jumps on, not even knowing how epic Hardline really is. Easily top in the 5 best Battlefield games for me.
I think the algorithms stopped favoring you because you started dropping truth bombs.
