My former third grade teacher, Miss K., is Greek, and her father Mr. K. was similar to Papouli with his joyful spirit and loving heart. Seeing this reminds me of him. Thank you!
I'm portuguese and proud to be a prokechop (that's what people from portugal are called) except i was born in Canada and have portuguese blood in me and I'm also half german. Half Slovak and half hungarian and proud of that too
Its always the grandchildren who seem to take it harder when the grandparent dies. Of course the grandparents children take it hard but for some reason the grandchildren feel like they died a little inside and that their whole world crashes. Speaking from experience when my grandfather passed. His kids(my uncles and mother) were devastated but I was so inconsolable that I barely remember behind carried off when we were told he died.
Papouli looks just like my father's father who passed away way before I was born. Its crazy I only seeing pix of my grandpa and when I saw this episode It remiemde me of him. He looks so much like him. Its ok to cry about a family member that you have never met or just seeing one time. They are family and they are a part of you and in your heart.
Exactly and I lost my sister before 2004 she died when she was 3 years old I never got to meet her but that's OK because she will always be in our Latino and Latina hearts and I love her till do us part
I love the greek representation in this episode the ending scene is more emotional to me then the scene where he dies. I think uncle jesse and Michelle's relationship feels more like a father and daughter relationship 😢
Michelle could actually have a significant percentage of Greek heritage in her blood. Let's assume that her grandpa and Papouli's son, Nick Katsopolis, was born in Greece, met Irene there, and emigrated to the United States to have Jesse. Theoretically, Michelle would be 50% Greek given her mother's marriage to American native Danny Tanner. Now, let's assume the least possible Greek heritage. Papouli wed in Greece and became father to Nick there since Nick's parents never left Greece. What if Nick moved to the states to wed Irene and have Jesse? That would push heritage back a generation. Given Nick is at 100% Greek heritage, and Jesse and Pam being at 50% such heritage, Michelle would still be a quarter Greek.
Papouli was such a great man, it’s a shame he passed both in the show and in real life. Rest in peace and power Jack Kruschen, I hope to see you in heaven someday.
